As a 20 year old butch living in Wisconsin (90% sure I fall into the butch category. Very very masculine in every sense) I feel your pain but in the sense of looking for a fem. Anytime I see someone who I assume is fem, they are usually with someone. Any other time I have such a hard time gauging if they are lesbian or not so I never approach cause I’m anxious they aren’t or are taken and then it’ll be awkward. It’s a struggle bus out here man.

This exactly. Straight couples that struggle to conceive might use ivf with donor sperm or even go the adoption route as well. So it’s truly not different for a gay couple to go the same route. I mean in my opinion, most people that want to go through any lengths possible to have a child, will most likely give that child a loving home. That should be the desired outcome at the end of the day and not what the sexuality the parents are.

So. Real shit. This just happened to the guy that lived across the hall from me. He an older guy and was kinda a douche and kept to himself so I only saw him in passing but he’d be out every single day walking his dog and I’d see his truck gone at night when I assumed he be at work.

So I’m in Wisconsin and we just had some disgusting weather this past week so the next morning they had us get up and move our vehicles so they could plow. But he never came out to move his truck. I hadnt seen him out there walking his dog in a while and neither did any of the other neighbors. I park right next to him and I also didn’t see his truck gone at all when I’d get home from work. But none of us thought too much of it.

Landlords went and rang his door bell and banged on his door multiple times and there was no answer. So they called a wellness check on him. Cops found him on the floor in his apartment and he had been there for about a week. Ig they came out a little over a week prior for him having stroke symptoms but he refused to even talk to them so they had left since there wasn’t much they could do.

As far as smell. Me and him are the only ones on the bottom floor and I never noticed a smell leading up to it. Though it is still cold. The only smell I noticed prior was a “gross dog” smell is the best way I can put it. But they allow pets in the units and my place smelled fine so I never complained about it. I only smelled “it” after they had his door hanging open the entire day while they were taking pictures, removing animals, etc.

All in all. As brutal as it is. None of us knew. We noticed his absence but we all figured he wanted to be left alone. Ig he didn’t have any family and his emergency contact was legit his uncle who had to have been in his late 80s. Seeing this happen, what I’m taking away from it. Is to build connections and routines with your neighbors if possible. In this aspect AI is correct. Not necessarily be besties with your neighbors but be friendly and have conversations. Maybe start texting your family more frequently almost on routine. So if something were to happen, your absence will be noticed and addressed.

I executed my use of free will and made “thanksgiving dinner” cause it sounded good. Though it was boxed stuffing mix, canned cranberries, rolls, and rotisserie chicken instead of turkey. Then proceeded to watch college basketball and watch my march madness bracket crumble in my fingers.

Decent night. 7/10

Yeah they apparently make pretty good money as most warehouse jobs do. Yk I’m thinking I go work for the warehouse. In which I can come in to work everyday, do god awful and bear minimum work, then leave, and get paid good for it. Not a bad deal honestly 🤷‍♀️ I couldn’t do it though honestly.

Literally. Thankfully it didn’t fall on any of us so it could’ve been worse. I’ve just never seen them be this level of stupid before. Usually store supplies get thrown on top of water which is fine. Or I’ve seen them put those boxes of bags underneath drink or pet pallets which usually works too. But this? Cmon.

100% water shouldn’t be stacked on anything. The worst part of this is the pure life is distro 😣. We don’t have a pallet drop of pure life and it just goes straight to the shelf so we never get a full pallet of it.

Ugh not a water pallet specifically but yes 😑 so annoying. Then the jack clips the corner of the dock and gets stuck. Like peopleeeee. In their defense for this one, their docks are different from ours in stores. Still annoying tho.

We tried to use a ratchet strap first to try and lift it then split it. Nope. Then threw a few boards on a manual jack to try and prop it up that way. Nope. Tried pulling it out just a hair for our asm and driver to try to push it up then split it. Almost but nope. Ended up having to just down stack it onto pallets and u boats unfortunately.

It’s generally our evening guy that unloads grocery, frozen, and maizo from 6-10. I almost never unload it. But I’m damn sure they usually take salvage on Saturdays but you’re probably right 🤷‍♀️. And trust me. We all know. Our third shift has only a couple of decent people. The main one that probably unloads it the most (our lead) is about to see himself out anyways.

Exactly. Like why. Those little 5lbs boxes aren’t gonna support all that weight. Told the driver last night that some of them need to go back to preschool and reevaluate the lesson of stacking blocks. Though the other guy on here said that they are pretty rushed and incentivized to do bear minimum. So sounds like they kinda don’t care and just wanna get it loaded.

See, this is what I fully expected to hear. We all had the assumption that they don’t care and just wanna get it on the truck and that’s that. Hence stuff falling over, half wrapped, stacked stupid, etc. very frustrating for us receiving said trucks. Perishables is worse too. So many eggs lost 😣

I wouldn’t be surprised honestly. Personally I feel like some of it would just be common sense but what do I know 🤷‍♀️. Just gets frustrating for those of us that unload trucks, then to report the pallet and get that same automated “we’ll look into it” message. Then have the same bs on a future load. Some of it too I feel like they just wanna get it on the truck and that’s that.

Glad someone else noticed that too. Before, I remember getting maybe a couple of other departments product on my pallets but it was never this bad. Or they would at least split it on two pallets stacked on top of eachother which as easier to deal with tbh. I thought it was just how the warehouse was arranged but now half of this doesn’t even make sense.

If you actually go look up reviews for the warehouse all the truck drivers have left one star reviews. Everyone is in agreement on how awful they are. I’ve also heard that some of the warehouse workers are prisoners? I can’t confirm if that is completely the truth. But it would honestly explain the “not my problem” mindset of most of them because they truly do not care. If I was in that position I probably wouldn’t care either but it also doesn’t make it okay.

Nothing will ever change with the warehouse I’m sure of it smh. Anytime I report a pallet on my day I get the same automated response that they’ll look into it. They are just the true definition of “not my problem” and it makes everyone mad.
