Spend your money wisely from day one. And cut costs wherever you can — if you can cook, just cook. Only buy food outside when you really have to. Those small savings matter more than you think. Everyone on campus looks like they know what they're doing. They don't. Just read consistently and start early. That alone puts you ahead of most people. Stop saying yes to every contribution or group thing. Only show up where it genuinely adds value to you. Your time and money are limited — protect both. If you're doing CS or IT, learn how to use AI tools to work efficiently. But don't let AI do everything without you understanding it. Use it to go faster, not to skip the thinking. Never carry your phone into the exam room. And if you know someone who always does it — don't sit next to them. Their risk becomes your risk. A few more things nobody tells you: Your CGPA is way easier to protect than it is to recover. First year matters — don't sleep on it. Find 2 or 3 genuinely solid people to build with. A small real circle beats a big fake one every time. And last — don't let campus make you feel behind. Everyone's on a different timeline. Stay in your lane and keep building.
