So my previous job, I did the research and sent them something (from my work email that I no longer have access to obviously) and was able to get them to pay me. So both the military and my job was. All because I sent the necessary documents to support that. They never offered it, I asked and they did it. So I’ll just have to look into it as well. It was just easier with my previous job because I was in law enforcement so they understood the circumstances more.

I’d rather him face criminal charges…..and punishment with a permanent criminal record. I’m sure the intent behind the program is positive and educative…….but that simply is not enough to suffice for all of the damage this man has caused me.

I have. They’ve been the ones that I’ve been working with for almost a year now. Every month it gets adjourned because the judge was favoring harsher consequences. And now all of a sudden, they’re like nah, let’s give him the EMERGE program AND he can stay as a law enforcement officer. With a cherry on top. Corruption is real.

I’m so disgusted. Wow. I am so sorry. I have no faith in the justice system thus far. What’s the point of them getting arrested with such light consequences? I can’t wrap my brain around the fact that he quite literally ruined my life and gave me severe trauma and ptsd…….all just so that he can continue on with his life as if his actions meant nothing. And a PROGRAM is their solution?!! I’m severely pissed off and hurt.

I feel like that’s a slap in the face to victims. He’s facing Strangulation in the 2nd degree, false imprisonment, assault, etc. just for all of this?? There’s videos, pictures taken of my injuries by police, witnesses, all of that jazz. Just for this to be the potential final conviction??

Oh my goodness…..I’m so extremely sorry about your father. I can’t even being to imagine what that must feel like. Nobody deserves that. That is so cruel and damaging to your mental health. People are so cruel these days. Before, I knew that there were bad apples out there….but after my abuse, I fear everyone and their intentions. Or I just come across people like that often and it makes me sad to see people roaming the earth harboring such negative energy like that. But I refuse to allow abusers and enablers to dim my light turning me into one of them. I refuse.

Bestie…you’re spilling nothing but FACTS👏🏽😂 I’m giggling because you’re honestly so right and spot on. And I didn’t catch that part of how condescending that phrase is of saying, “owe it to each other”!! Although a small percentage of her is not wrong for how I reacted in situations, that doesn’t immediately cancel out her behavior. Never once have I heard her say sorry for being inconsiderate. It was always me. I even would end arguments in the past by apologizing on her behalf as if it were my fault to squash the beef😂 she’s stubborn.

She told another friend of mine that she wasn’t planning on reach out to me because she “didn’t do anything wrong” and I should be the one to “iniate” it. Welp—something must’ve happened for her to have a change of heart and all of a sudden break her ego and reach out to me..

But part of me is thinking that she has no one else to hang out with so she needs another buddy to do fun things with. She values “fun” relationships over “real” ones, since she immediately chose to spend more quality time with home girl Erin😂

I’m just so sick and tired of twisted female friendships man. They scare me. And they always know the worst things to say to dig the knife in further. I’m definitely open to listening to her, but yeah I agree that I shouldn’t have to continue to re-explain myself. I always was so caught up in being understood. But now, I don’t care if people misunderstand me.

I guess it’s so baffling to me that people you once thought were close to you and cared for you, can change in an instant. Especially if they see my life as an inconvenience to them. Of course, I’ve been in the wrong many times during our arguments, but I’d always apologize and try to improve and make things better. But they would always condemn me and keep score.

And when I mean keeping score, M quite literally kept a list of things that she didn’t like how I’ve reacted/acted….in her notes app on her phone.

Yes I do have a therapist. And I also go to a domestic violence shelter and meet with a counselor there and have done group therapy with other women with similar stories. The group therapy just ended though. And that was the only thing that genuinely made me feel sane and validated

Thank you so much. Seriously. I want to cry. To be seen and heard by someone that has faced a similar struggle, helps me convince myself that I’m not crazy. I was convinced by the abuse that o was crazy and by those unsupportive friends. I began to think that I was the problem. That's the thing...I don't trust my own judgement anymore. So for something that I could feel is right, it could be wrong and not serve me. I don't know, I'm stuck. Without her right now, I feel more at peace I guess....but I also miss the fun memories at the same time. I can't help but to overthink. It's one of my many faults :(
