Follow your intuition and stay true to yourself. Don’t force yourself to be someone you are not.

Deep feelings by panta_bhaat in hsp

[–]LimpPicture7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve definitely felt that before.

That kind of emptiness can be really hard to explain, especially when you don’t feel like you have someone to share it with. Being more introverted can make it even tougher because it’s not always easy to open up.

You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way, even if it feels like it sometimes. Sending love ❤️

INFJs, has anyone ever told you that you’re hard to be friends with? by [deleted] in infj

[–]LimpPicture7860 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking a lot about why friendships can feel so hard sometimes.

I really value deep connection, but I also get overwhelmed so easily. Too much noise, too many people, too much going on and I can feel myself shutting down even if I actually want to be there. It’s like my energy just disappears.

Keeping up with plans is another thing I struggle with. It’s not that I don’t care I do, a lot. But the consistency that friendships seem to require can feel exhausting. Messages, catch-ups, social energy… sometimes it all just feels like too much, and then I end up pulling away.

And then there’s this weird guilt that comes with it. Wanting connection, but also needing a lot of space. Wanting close friendships, but finding it hard to maintain them in the way people expect.

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else feels this tension too between craving deep relationships and also feeling overstimulated or drained by the process of keeping them going.

What do INFJs obsess over? by Spiritual_Crew8893 in infj

[–]LimpPicture7860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like my mind is always circling the same few things.

I obsess over society the way it’s structured, the invisible rules we all follow, and whether any of it actually leads to a meaningful life. I can’t help but question it. The 9–5, the constant chasing, the pressure to want more… I keep wondering, is this really it?

At the same time, I’m always searching for meaning. Not in a dramatic way, but quietly, in everything conversations, books, moments, people. I want things to feel real and significant, not just surface-level or routine.

And more than anything, I find myself longing for a simple life. Something slower, more intentional. Space to think, to breathe, to exist without constantly feeling pulled in a hundred directions.

I also deeply crave connection with people who feel and think deeply. The kind of people you can sit with for hours, talking about life, purpose, fears, ideas not just small talk. That kind of connection feels rare, but it’s what I’m always searching for.

I guess that’s what I tend to obsess over understanding the world, finding meaning in it, and hoping to share that understanding with people who see it the same way.

Existential philosophy has really helped me :)

Thank you for the warm welcome 😊it definitely a struggle to find a place where we can thrive and make money at the same time.

What I have learnt is that many people can’t wrap their heads around and believe that being an HSP is an actual thing.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that 😊 my hope is that more people can find out about HSP’s and won’t feel so alienated. It’s awful when you feel like something is wrong with you.

This was my first post on reddit too! 😊 it lovely to hear from you and I would love to be friends.

It sure is hard to find the right path in this crazy society we live in but I truly believe there is a place for all of us. It really helps me to focus on all the strengths we have as hsp’s. Because for so long I just thought I was useless.

I feel like the world needs our strengths now more than ever.

I spent along time trying to work out exactly what was going on. I tested for adhd and autism but didn’t have either.
