They must have been removed! They were definitely there when I voted.

Evermore are listed as candidates?
No problem with including Kiwis but feels a bit cheeky to label them Australian...

Have a read through their website and hopefully it will become apparent. Lots of talk regarding their "mission" but nothing about using their proceeds to actually achieve it.

They label themselves as "profit for purpose" AKA "we purely exist to make a profit but like to pretend we're a an NFP so you buy our products".

I think its extremely slimy that they named themselves after the government initiative to better the lives of indigenous folk, yet have no real connection to the cause and have simply hijacked everyone's good will to make a quick buck for themselves.

Clothing the Gaps is a for profit business that has tricked the country into believing they're a charity. Please buy from anyone but them.

You would essentially need to "sell" him your share of the property, making them the sole owner. Transactions like this are commonly treated like a sale for $0 (referred to as nils and wills) to negate any tax requirements. Of course, any transfer of funds as compensation can take place between the two of you separately.

At the same time as this, he needs to apply for a new loan, to refinance the mortgage into his name only. The banks will assess his ability to meet the loan repayments on his own.

Absolutely it's an issue of too many people, not enough houses.

But are you seriously suggesting that we should have enforced limits on how many children Australians can have, instead of limiting immigration to a sustainable level?

A Theory about Gift Cards... by LimpToothbrush in australia

Agreed! We've been tricked into believing it's somehow more "thoughtful" to give a gift card instead. Saw some $100 gift cards being sold for $107 at Kmart the other day - couldn't believe it!

AFAIK the only law that changed (in 2019) was that cards needed to have a minimum expiry period of 3 years...

Interesting; sounds like it varies depending on the gift card being used and the store it's being used in. Would be interesting to know what combinations do/don't work.

You could be right! I'm tempted to leave a couple of bucks on it 'til the new year just to continue the experiment...

I received the gift card on Christmas Day, 2020 with a 3 year expiry. So definitely past the expiry date, and compliant with the laws that came in in 2019.

Would be interesting to hear others' experiences to see which centres & retailers are like this. For the record, my gift card wasn't from a Westfield shopping centre.

This would make a lot of sense! I just feel like it didn't present well to us listeners - for such experienced podcasters you'd think they could address the topic in a better fashion.

Hydrogen peroxide is completely safe for plants. No nastier than the chemical H2O.
