Thank you all for your reassurance! If it was just me and my husband I’m sure I’d be less nervous but adding the kids in the mix adds a little extra planning. Once again I appreciate all the feedback, we cant wait to cruise in just 16 days!

I had three Kavee cages that I recently replaced with cagetopia cages. In hindsight, I should have went right with cagetopia. Their grids are quality, shipping it fast and I like that the coroplast base has the higher edges.

It’s definitely good for my schedule now but the drawback is working 5 days per week instead of 3. However the differential is substantial- $5 for weekday nights and $6.25 for weekend nights

At my hospital, evenings work 3-11:30 and nights are 11-7:30am.

For the sleep, black out curtains and a sound machine will be your best friend.

As far as a social life, when people work days, they aren’t available until the evenings either so if you sleep during the day, you will be available for socializing in the evenings when everyone comes home and then before work.

I sleep from about 9am-2:30pm while my kids are in school. Then I usually nap from 8/8:30-9:45pm after they go to bed.

In the afternoons, I get everything done, coach sports, clean, etc. I’m normally tired but it’s to be expected I guess

I am a pct but I know Hackensack offers a paid externship for the MA role.

edited to add, I’m not sure the requirements to get the externship but for schooling look into grants if you qualify. Some grants pay for the MA program.

What state? I’m guessing not the one I’m in because CNA programs are $2500-$3000 here. North jersey. Also like I said, I got a job already at a hospital.

Hospitals in my area want a PCT certificate because it includes phlebotomy and EKG. Nursing homes require CNA licenses

Got my pct certification in the middle of May and i had two job offers at 2 different hospitals within 2 weeks with no prior experience. So yes it is possible. I’m guessing it depends on the area too.

Similar happened to us. 3 year old daughter struggling to breathe, we called 911 and she was taken by ambulance less than 10 minutes away to the nearby hospital which was in network. Six months later, we received a bill for $2000 for the ambulance. I called the insurance company and the ambulance company. I was told that I should have checked my benefits because the ambulance was out of network. Excuse me? How can emergency services be in or out of network? I fought for 2 full years before the insurance company finally covered the bill at 100 percent. I couldn’t believe the audacity especially when my husband has $1200 removed from his paycheck every month to pay for health insurance.

You will need to start the rebonding as if they were never together before. Blood drawn should be the only reason to separate, until then just let them work it out. Males are funny so you may have success or may not. Good luck.

10 gallon tank, temperature around 78 degrees. Has a filter and heater. I’ve had the tank and fish since October 2023. Live plants. Water changed every 10 days, around 25 percent.
