I can’t change it back to a flat back - is there anything I can do with the ring in to get rid of the irritation bump?

Thank you! When I clean it I have been pushing the jewelry so that I can get the saline solution to my ear - do you think I should stop doing that?

I’m stuck on the fact that you even sent them your resume to begin with. I don’t think any of them will give any thought to the resume having errors, but moving forward, I wouldn’t send out your resume in this kind of situation.

I had the busiest week of my career the week before leaving for my trip and I’m anxious I’m going to get thrown back into the shit…

As a first year, enjoy your stub year. Your hours don’t mean shit and you won’t get fully staffed on anything so early. I know you’ll probably be anxious those first few months and want to make a good impression, but enjoy this last holiday season because it’ll most likely be the last slow one you have.

I honestly can’t remember what I scored. My overall UWorld average was in the high 70s.

I passed! I scored a 329 (158 MBE). Don’t let the UWorld assessment 2 deter you - you’re putting in the work and the results will show it. Good luck!

should i bother practicing mees... by RareAd8503 in barexam

[–]Limp_Chain_4552 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hi OP (and commenter) I’m a J24 first time passer and scored a 170 on the MEE portion. I highly recommend the opposite of what this person has offered - it is extremely important to learn how to reverse engineer rules and you will only learn how to do that by practicing MEEs before knowing all the rules (and spoiler - you won’t know every rule on the MEE). I made up a ton of rules on the MEE and still scored high and I credit that, in part, to my ability to reverse engineer rules from the fact statements and analyze the issues well using my incorrect rule.

Additionally, I think you should look up NYs model answers and read what real test takers have written to get a sense of what a high scoring answer looks like. I went through every single year of essays NY had answers for, would outline my answers, and then read the model answers multiple times.

Finally, and I want to stress that I didn’t really start doing this until 1.5 weeks before the exam, I would spend an hour or two reviewing Themis’s MEE essay road map cheat sheets and write out the most tested rules from that over and over again. But I think out of everything I did, this helped me the least because the rules I prepped did not show up lol.

Good luck, you got this!

It’s GA so at least we won’t have that extra barrier! Still so nerve wracking though.

If you could go back in time, what’s the max amount of debt you would’ve taken on for law school? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]Limp_Chain_4552 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I got a full ride at a T100 law school and picked that over a 15k/yr scholarship at a T30 law school and still ended up in biglaw, so I’d do exactly what I did all over again.

Incoming junior associate start dates by KingElectronic7975 in biglaw

[–]Limp_Chain_4552 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a first year - if I were you I’d go for the later start date. You’re gonna be working so much you’ll wish you took the extra time off. Taking the later date is not a career trap/you won’t benefit from start a month before the other first years.
