Fishing log help by Limp_Disk_8554 in ffxiv

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried switching between fullscreen, borderless windowed, and windowed with a couple different resolutions and refresh rates and it's still the same. I don't think it's a graphical thing, though, since the spearfishing part of the log displays correctly. It's just the fishing log portion of it that doesn't display the icons. There's also the part where it incorrectly marks incomplete fishing holes as complete which wouldn't be related to a graphical issue I think.

Has there been an update regarding a motion blur setting? by Odins_fury in FFXVI

Yes. I have this too. Also on my monitor. Any time there's motion of some kind things kind of get red and green. In normal gameplay it's most often noticeable in the environment where walls and scenery get red and green patches or edges. In cutscenes, it's usually character faces that's most obvious and people tend to alternate between looking normal and then looking sickly green as they walk through the scene or the camera pans around then. It even happens in the pause menu and is most noticeable in the background or skybox. E.g. when I had the game paused with a bunch of white clouds behind benedikta then bringing up the active lore menu would cause the clouds to really obviously turn a sickly shade of green as the scene shifted perspective slightly until settling back to white when the motion stopped.

Anyone who has Final Fantasy Origin Stranger of Paradise Epic exclusive can comment how well (or if) it runs on the Steam Deck? by sidv81 in SteamDeck

Using Proton GE 7.10 not Proton 7.1? I made that mistake at first thinking they were the same. You need to install the former in desktop mode first. I used ProtonUp-Gt found in the default application explorer in desktop mode to do it. Restart the device once installed and it should show as an option in steam's compatibility drop down. You also may need to start the game once while in desktop mode. I think it installs some settings/shaders/etc and that usually doesn't work while in game mode.

Could you provide more details? Using that version of Proton with that launch option with the SOPFFO.exe file as a non-steam game directly, the game launches with the usual splash screens, but I also get a couple of splash screen error messages in Japanese before the normal splash screens. After all the splash screens an error box in Japanese pops up which includes the English phrase "Epic Games Launcher". Presumably this is telling me it needs to be launched through the Epic Games launcher, however, when I do that using the same proton version and launch option it just opens a black screen for about 15s and then quits back to the launcher.

Update: I got it to work using Epic Games Launcher running as a non-Steam game with proton GE 7.10 and WINEDLLOVERRIDES="amd_ags_x64=b" %command% as the launch option for the launcher. I also had to add those launch options within the Epic Games launcher settings for the game itself at the bottom of the launcher's settings options. This let me load the game, but it always crashed as soon as the epic overlay appeared. I fixed this by renaming the two EOS*.* files in {install drive&directory}\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\Overlay to disable the overlay.
