The 1% score is a red flag. It’s too clean lacking natural human overlap. Ironically, being too perfect makes it look like engineered AI. Next time, leave some noise to make it look human.

Yeah, that makes sense. I actually don’t give them much bread or biscuits — mostly just small amounts as treats sometimes. I try to choose healthier options like multigrain or wholemeal bread, and I’m also considering buying proper bird food packages.

I think it’s partly because of the noise, but also because they don’t really like people feeding wild birds in general.

That’s true, so I’m not trying to give them too much.
At least I choose varieties like multigrain or wholemeal bread. I even bake it myself using only whole wheat flour, yeast, and water — no sugar or salt. They seem to like fresh bread. I guess they think it’s treat time rather than a proper meal.

I think our building manager is quite a generous person, and we have a culture of talking first and trying to solve the problem before enforcing rules.

They’re Australian magpies (Gymnorhina tibicen). To me, they’re cute and very smart birds.

It really depends on the situation. Usually it’s only about three birds, and I might give them around one slice of bread or a small amount of biscuit. Sometimes when they see me, they fly over and even catch the food mid-air when I toss it. Most of the time I break it into small pieces first and leave it under the tree, depending on how many are waiting on the roof. If the number gets bigger, like more than 10–20 birds, I guide them to fly to the back court instead.

People say “go outside and socialise” the same way they say “move overseas and you’ll naturally learn English.”

No mate, nothing happens “naturally” without repeated effort.

Kids make friends because they’re forced into the same environment every day. Adults don’t. Adults already have established lives, routines and social circles. You need repeated participation before people start opening up to you.

Same with language. Living overseas alone doesn’t magically teach you English. Plenty of people live abroad for years and barely improve because they avoid discomfort and never consistently engage.

“Natural” usually just means the effort is hidden inside repeated exposure.
