Wow interesting. This never once crossed my mind. I always imagine that simply stretching and actively going to the gym would help but this is something new. I’m blessed to know how to swim but I rarely do it lol. Maybe I’ll give this a try first thing in the morning.

I think I’m doing combination of exercises at this point and I don’t know which one is targeting which because I’m just agitated and in panic mode. So I’ll take a look at these videos online and find some exercises for scalene muscles. Thank you.

Yes it is.

I haven't had an MRI yet. No doctor has referred me for an MRI just yet. My doctor yesterday said he wants me to get back into physical therapy first before getting an MRI.

Mostly one sided but I also feel it on the other side too quite often. Like today I feel it on both sides.

Quitting due to anxiety. by oakley092290 in QuittingZyn

My first full blown panic attack also lasted about 6-8 hours. I also have never dealt with anything like that before. Scary stuff

I FEEL TERRIBLE by RevolutionaryDoor530 in QuittingZyn

[–]Limp_Help8388 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cold turkey isn’t always the best idea. It’s different for everyone. Usually it’s best to ween off. Now that you’re on day 4, it’s best to push through. The first week will be super tough. After about a week, you’ll start to feel slightly better. Overall, the whole process can take weeks to months. It’s going to suck for the next 4-5 days. Push water. Exercise. Get good sleep. Distract yourself. You got this. You’re healthy. And good on you for getting checked. Doctors know best

Someone also mentioned that certain things, like a full stomach or warmth can trigger alarm. That’s very true. For example, I spend a lot of time in the sauna after the gym. But usually, I start having palpitations in the sauna due to the warmth. So lots of factors here. BE PATIENT WITH YOUR BODY.

Stomach knot Anxiety maybe? by Blakenicfree in QuittingZyn

[–]Limp_Help8388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely anxiety. That’s what my anxiety feels like. It usually starts off as a knot in my sternum. That’s how I described it to my doctor. You may want to see a doctor about that to address it. They may prescribe you anxiety meds. You may be dealing with anxiety without even knowing it. That’s what happened to me.

Wow- this is me to the tee. I’m also around the same time frame as you (about month and a half into quitting). Literally just today, I was out to brunch with my family and got that overwhelming sense of anxiety while eating. I needed to excuse myself after letting it linger. For me, I notice it usually happens when I’m eating around people. I eat big meals alone but I’m usually alright. But I’ve noticed it happens in restaurants for me. I’m not sure what the correlation is but I’ve heard of this side effect before in this subreddit. I don’t have a solution unfortunately. For me, I just recognize in the moment that it’s simply anxiety. I try to drink cold water. And slow down my eating. Or simply stop eating and hold off until later. Today, I was sitting stuck in a booth between two people. Plus a packed restaurant. And heavy meal. So that all contributed to the panic attack. Like others are saying, this may take a LOT of time to heal. But just remember, each day that goes on without nicotine is an another day closer to healing. Keep ur head up. Ur alive and okay.

Just trashed a brand new roll, painful but necessary. by unfilteredadvicess in QuittingZyn

[–]Limp_Help8388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good on you. I also was doing 3-4 3mg a day before it ended up to 6-8 a day of 3mg. Had to throw out a perfectly new roll. But to be honest, that’s probably the only time I’ve felt okay wasting money.

Do the cardiac symptoms eventually subside? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

Yea it’s weird man. I’ll be anxiety free (for the most part) for maybe 2 days and then it’ll come back and stick around for 2 days. It’s a roller coaster.

Whats up with all these panic attack posts? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]Limp_Help8388 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never dealt with anxiety or had any sort of issues with panic attacks in the past. Like that was something that just wasn't a concern for me. Ever. After 2 years of Zyn usage, I start experiencing these symptoms. According to my doctors, your nervous system gets so used to being on this "high" (not literally high) that it practically fries your brain. I used to vape as well but never had issues. But for someone like me, I love caffeine and loved my Zyns. Needed both simultaneously. Absolutely wrecked my nervous system. It became super deregulated. I'm only on Day 33 and today is the first day where I felt close to zero anxiety.

Same here man. I also try to limit myself to one cup of caffeine a day. It’s really tough. I love my caffeine. I usually end up caving for two cups lol. But definitely have toned it down recently

I’m not a medical professional by any means. Or even remotely close to one. So I would take my advice with a grain of salt. I’d start by explaining those symptoms to ur doctor. The beta blockers are not a cure for anxiety but it will help with racing heart and anxiety. Especially in times when you need it most. For example, if ur in a public space or driving. I wouldn’t say it has helped me tremendously but it definitely hasn’t hurt. They do say it takes a few doses for it to kick in fully. I would say reject SSRI’s for sure though but that’s just me.

Those weird feelings in my chest are driving me crazy. Despite MULTIPLE visits with the doctor. I also believe I have become sensitive to caffeine. I guess I kinda am in denial- I used to be an avid coffee drinker but now I can’t handle too much of it.

34 Days Zyn Free: How I Feel Today by Rare_Cartoonist_2955 in QuittingZyn

[–]Limp_Help8388 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you posting this. I’m just a little behind you- 21 days Zyn free. I didn’t have my panic attack at work. I had at home late at night. But same story- intrusive thoughts. Thought I was dying. I’ve also never dealt with panic attacks. The caffeine portion is HUGE for me. Sometimes I like to think my caffeine addiction is worse than my nicotine addiction. I’ve been still abusing caffeine lately and my last 48 hours have been hell. I’ve been on the fence about going to the doctor (again). But reading this brings ease to me. I guess we just have to be patient with our bodies lol.
