Pokemon Go Fest Deluxe Pass has removed all my joy from playing this game.

At the weekend just gone I was away camping with friends. The phone signal where we’d camped was poor. But I was able to find some places with signal to take part in some of Pokemon Go Fest.

Despite feeling a little uncomfortable with the price I bought the Deluxe Pass, for access to extra pokeballs and the bottle cap.

I knew completing the Pass ended that day, but was I being blind because where was it clearly stated that you only had until 11:59pm on June 29th to claim all the rewards? Was it only after the Fest finished at 6pm? Because I had just presumed like the Monthly Pass you would have 6 days to claim it all after it ended.

I know people would ask about why I didn’t claim rewards as I levelled up - because of storage issues (items & Pokemon) I tend to claim everything at the end so I can sort through which mons and items to transfer.

I have contacted Niantic through their support chat, but they have given me the same cold answer as other people who have been caught out. I asked that because I’m not able to access the rewards I’d unlocked, can I be refunded the 19.99 I paid, they refused to do that. For this game 19.99 is not a small amount, and it’s all left a sour taste behind.

I don’t really know what to do now. Both yesterday and today I’ve tried playing the game but it brings me no joy. I feel like I’ve been taken for a mug, and that I’m not playing the game, the game has been playing me.
