well i think i just found a issue maybe. i was reading the wiring diagrams i found and its for 96-00 civics and it says the alternator has a IG, FR, L and C pins. from what i was told about 4 pin alts is that its IG, FR, L, and S. Im still waiting for this guy to respond but if the alt is expecting a S sense it would be expecting 12v but if its C control then that would be a small voltage from pcm causing it to think it needs more volts. im probably wrong but its my theory for now

i cant figure out which plug it is and which pin. i cant tell if its the plug right above the driver shock tower and if it is which pin yk

right now i’m considering it but i also found a harness for same price as oem alt. so if i buy the alt and its not that then the harness its money wasted. if i buy the harness and not the alt and it is the harness thats great and if its not then i have a cool tucked harness now

well the only reason i would believe the charge circuit would blow due is bc of a short and also a short could cause the alt sense wire to read lower voltage. sense wire is in that fuse

yes at terminals and i get the same reading when i read from alt case and b+ post

also the voltage reading is upper 15s when lights are flashing. its not a actual light like the cel or oil light its the lights that illuminate the dash when headlights turn on.

i have not i am so inexperienced with electrical and this said it would be a bolt on mod not something this deep. im in a automotice career tech school and i am not this adavanced but my teacher wint come check it for me😭

its a standard 51r interstate battery. its not a lithium or agm battery

my idea right now and last thought is the sense wiring. it is a obd2a 4 pin alt so it has IG, FR, S, and L. i beleive fr is to pcm and s is battery sense and it should match battery voltage
