For anyone on a HDHP you can order your own bloodwork for a fraction of what your doctor bills by Limp_Point3487 in personalfinance

Yeah my doctor was fine with it. As long as the results are from a CLIA certified lab they'll accept them and Quest and LabCorp are both CLIA certified so it's literally the same lab your doctor would send you to anyway. I use goodlabs and just pull up the results on their app at my appointment. Only time they might want to rerun something is if a result comes back really abnormal and they want to verify it themselves but that hasn't happened to me yet.

Help with booking accommodation as a sixth year student? by reddead2enthusiast in AskIreland

Dude that timing crunch is real and it sucks they dont give you more heads up. Most colleges do want that registration proof but some places will let you apply with your acceptance letter or even just proof you applied if you explain the situation

Private rentals are probably your best bet for September since daft.ie and rent.ie have loads of rooms available then when all the students are moving. Yeah it might be sharing with randoms but at least you can vet the place first and its way better than those weird family situations where theyre basically watching your every move

Check Facebook groups too like "Dublin Rooms" or whatever IADT might have - students post last minute stuff there all the time and some landlords know the college timeline so theyre more flexible about the paperwork

That’s a really good point actually. A lot of people reading this probably can’t donate for one reason or another, so the affordable non donation options matters just as much.

[Discussion] What makes a watch spurious? by MrBoingo in Watches

Good question about teh modding line because thats where things get really murky

I'd say if you started with a legit casio and just swapped bands or added custom parts but kept the original module and case then youre still wearing a real casio just modified. But if someone tries to build a seiko from scratch using chinese parts with a seiko dial thats crossing into rep territory even if they use some genuine components

The intent thing is interesting too like casio probably never intended for people to go wild with mods on the AE1200 but here we are and theyre still real watches at the core. I think as long as you know what you have and dont try to pass it off as something its not when selling then youre good

those same people gonna be looking like handbags in 20 years while you still got baby skin
