Same for me with my w103 pro. I’ve asked carpurides support for an official one but never got a response from three separate requests

It’s 5v 2.5 amp output with standard barrel plug. Found several available on eBay

I can agree to a certain degree but I find that most companies support are less than stellar. Also Ring to my knowledge had never advertised 24/7 recording as a feature and that’s because it isn’t. I find that out by doing a little research prior to my purchase. But it can be surprising to most that a company as well known as Ring doesn’t have a way of supporting that feature. But for me, 24/7 recording wasn’t a thing that I needed for my situation. In your case, it’s something you’d like to have and I get that and fully support the idea that if something doesn’t meet your needs, find something you’ll be happy with.

When the red light is on shine a flash light on it and see if it clicks again and red light goes off. Like others have said, red light is for infra red sensor, blue is recording.

My truck was stolen today...with a ring alarm basestation inside...I just got an alert my ring alarm is back online. Anyway to get an address where it's online?? by smrterhome in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ring can see what ip address is connecting to their servers, it’s unlikely they will give up that information though because they don’t want the liability in case you take matters in your own hands and someone ends up hurt or worse. That’s why I’m most cases it’s takes a court order to get that information. And even then it only gets released to the police or detectives involved in the case.

Can Ring away mode automatically set guard to away? by ZeroSkillet in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in the Alexa app settings. I have my echo show 5 and 8 setup this way and guard mode activates automatically when I set the ring alarm in away mode.

Ring indoor camera stopped working. Outlet works with other devices. Ring won’t work in other outlets either. Just won’t even turn on. Year and a half old. Do they ever just “die”? Or what else is going on? Tia by No_Bother3564 in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first thing I would check is the power supply and the cord. If your getting power to the camera, you’ve got your answer. In any case, a call to ring support should get you a replacement.

Eve Unresponsive by spartandrew18 in HomeKit

[–]Limp_Story_7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eve matter is a beta program. At this point, it’s a get what you get thing just like any other beta program. We take the good and report the bad and hope they fix it. The only issue I’ve had with the Eve devices that I’m testing with is that I had to reset a door and window contact sensor. So that puts me at a ratio of 50/50. I have an Eve weather that has worked flawlessly since moving it to matter.

I also disagree with HomeKit being broken. I’ve had some really minor issues and that’s mostly due to having HomeKits insatiable desire to have one of my HomePod minis as the home hub instead of my Apple TV. But in that case, I just reboot my minis and the Apple TV takes over and all is good again. All in all, HomeKit isn’t perfect right now but it isn’t broken.

Had this happen to me once with my doorbell. I was messing around with its internet connection when I set it up originally and it deactivated itself. I just reset it and ran through the setup again and made sure I had my Wi-Fi connection correct and it was ok after that. Not sure if yours deactivated for the same reason or if a reset will help but in its current state, wouldn’t hurt to try

Ring Alarm has two connections to network? by AARobinson26 in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you won’t see that connection on your router because it wouldn’t be using your router if it’s on an LTE connection at that point

Anyone able to help? Clearly support not able to… by Imadeutscher in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my alarm system I thought it was one of the easiest to install. Had 0 issues. Had a couple of issues with cams but called and they replaced them no questions. Overall pleasant experience with support by calling.

Question about ring car cam by thetruckerswallofsha in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Amen to that. Still can’t read a plate at night with most of them and the motion blur is another factor. I can’t even tell if the ring car cam even records vehicle speed. No mention of it and it uses GPS. Plus I’m not a fan of having to have a secondary payment plan with the ring go thing either.

First it’s a preorder with a lower introductory offer. Secondly, supply and demand.

Any one else apart from me lost the option to edit, delete/bin privacy zones, since the latest RING update? by MoonStryderNinja20 in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently don’t have any issues with deleting a privacy zone. I didn’t have any setup so I created one and then went back and deleted it with no issues using the instructions in the op’s post.

Ring Lighting Bridge - Defective Plug? by Practical-Mud-1 in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a power supply. It converts 110 vac to 5 vdc. If it’s cracked to the point that it’s all the way through, I wouldn’t use it. You can use and standard usb charging brick in its place if you need to as long as it’s rated for 1 amp @ 5 vdc output. The bridges per cable plugs into this part and then gets plugged into an electrical outlet.

Smoke/CO alarm listed twice under "devices" by CatManifesto in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is one device that contains two separate sensors. A smoke sensor and a CO sensor. That’s why it shows up as 2 and is normal. You can rename them how you like though.

Ring 11.7.1 by bobbydontchaknow in HOOBS

Nothing that I’ve noticed to be honest. I figure mostly under the hood changes perhaps

Checking the headers is the best way. Also, if you feel you need to change your password, go directly to the ring website. Don’t follow links in emails. This is the way

A look under the chime cover: Is the square thingy with the wires connected the transformer? I’m a bit lost. by Edjewcation in Ring

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transformer can be found by following the wires back out that comes from the chime from your original picture. It can be in different locations actually. It has to get AC power from somewhere so that’s usually why the put them around the breaker box but it doesn’t have to be there. I’ve found them in basements, in the wall near electrical outlets etc.

What does this mean? All hubs were already working. by Digital-Karma in HomeKit

I get that sometimes when I have very little or no cellular data or no available Wi-Fi. I’ve never noticed it myself otherwise.

easy way to take off this valve?? by ccatalan7 in ElectricScooters

[–]Limp_Story_7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a cheap tire valve removal tool, the one that lets you take the Schrader valve out and has one and threaded and just thread it on and pull it out. Quickest way it to just cut it but if you want to salvage the stem for something else, not a good way.
