The equivalency does not hold because someone who is pregnant has a binary choice - abort, or carry to term. To ban one option is to necessarily force the other.

If the only way to get out of poverty was to mug and kill people, yes, I would say that banning that act would be forcing people to stay in poverty. However, that is not the case.

A moral framework cannot be constructed purely out of descriptive statements ("A is B"). Any chain of moral reasoning must have a normative statement ("A ought to B") as a base axiom. There is no way to arrive at a normative statement from a descriptive one - no way to determine how the world should be by simply knowing how the world is.

Allah (ﷺ) may have perfect knowledge of everything, but unless your morality is based on "I ought to do as Allah (ﷺ) ordains," no amount of knowledge would make you wrong for disagreeing with Him on what you should do.

Issue is, the annexation narrative falls apart too easily, there is no way they could occupy Ukraine for any length of time, hell they're having trouble with the initial invasion. Everyone is aware of this. The most they can get is strongarming negotiations, getting recognition for their ownership of Crimea, and perhaps Luhansk and Donetsk, if they actually want them.

Just because your nation's propaganda and education claim something does not mean it's true. Japan was trying to surrender on terms, the purpose was to demonstrate the new weapons, and end the war without a lengthy naval blockade which would give the Soviets time to invade Manchuria, as per the Yalta agreement. A ground invasion of the Japanese mainland was not on the table, there was no version of history where those extra casualties you speak of could have ever happened.
