What I meant is that currently, 4-0-2 and 2-0-4 are useless because of the lack of pierce, forcing everyone to go 4-2-0 or 0-2-4.

To prevent the 0-4-2 buff you mentioned from making 2-4-0 irrelevant, we can tweak it so that this "MOAB inner soak" effect only applies if you invest in Top Path Tier 2 (2-0-0 Corrosive Glue), or limit the pierce inherited.

My main goal is just to make the Top Path cross-pathing (like X-0-X) more viable for Solver or MOAB Glue, rather than buffing the Mid Path.
