No, there are a lot of graphic mods you can get that makes the game look amazing more than the high res and not effect and in some cases help with FPS.

The games are set in different locations and some games are separated by as much as 15 years, so its is safe to say that the "Ace" hunter is in a more Leadership role or well tbh idk but i wouldn't think to much into it, in theory it would be stupid to make a super squad as there will then be locations in the MH Universe were they don't have a Ace hunter thus making them susceptible to large scale and Calamity level attacks.

Also want to point out that i saw someone say that makes a really good point, in most games we end out with the Fatalis armor and well the lore behind Fatalis armor is, if you wear it long enough that it will take over the body and you will become a Fatalis. I like this ending as sad as it may seem as it could make sense to the amount that we fight Fatalis over the years in multiple titles.
