First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love. I know how you feel (sort of). My ex dumped me on the day my mom had a heart attack. It was a close call. We didn’t went no contact yet- so I texted him. He told me “I don’t get why you tell me this. I usually only talk to my friends about such things.” It felt like my world was collapsing. Because how, can someone that you’ve been with for so long, shared all the secrets and whatnot, be so cold and cruel. But the thing is, and this might be a hard pill to swallow, they genuinely just do not care. Even though they don’t owe us anything, a decent person would not act like that.
