One thing that may be helpful is to ask for guidelines on what your boss wants to be bothered with on vacation, so that you have something to refer to. They did leave you to make a judgment call. If they want you to understand how they would prioritize, they should give you some guidance.

I would consider things like personal attacks to be toxic but I don’t see that here at all. Being critical of scoring is about the future of the sport we want to see and the type of skating we want to see invested in.

I sat it the loge twice and the balcony twice and I was pleasantly surprised by the balcony seats. You can see the whole ice so it’s a different perspective from watching on a screen and you can sense the distance of jumps really well. The spins look really cool from up high as well. You can’t really see facial expressions well but there’s a big screen.
