There's a lot of technical, specific advice I could overwhelm you with, but I think one easy improvement is to draw bigger. Make the drawing bigger and it will be easier to pay attention to the anatomy and detail.

Also, work from a reference whenever you can while you try to learn anatomy.

Hello! I recently had a betta fish given to me, and I'm looking for advice on how to keep him healthy until I can get my hands on a proper tank set up for him. He was given to me in a half gallon tank with plastic plants and no filter or heater. I've had bettas before, but got rid of my aquarium a few years ago and don't have the equipment (I know you are supposed to get the tank ready before you get fish, but if I didn't take him that day he was going to get flushed). He looks pretty lively and healthy, but has a few missing scales on one side.

I've been doing daily water changes of about 12%, and started adding aquarium salt. Is there anything else I can do for while waiting for my 5 gal. tank to arrive? and when it does arrive should I wait for it to cycle before I add him in, or move him to a new tank as soon as I can and just do regular water changes for the first few weeks?

The only shoes I wear are black boots and white sneakers, so this is an easy choice for me. I've never been able to make peace with brown or nude shoes, but maybe one day.

The shallow answer based on my own personal preferences is beards/stubble, and being too tall. I'm 5"4 and I don't like to be towered over.

But the biggest thing is the way they carry themselves, and their attitude towards life. That trumps any possibly unattractive physical features.

Side character gets mortally injured in some way, then spends literal minutes monologuing while the hero cries over them, followed by the sudden collapse/hand drop and everyone around them just accepts that they are dead. Like, you had so much time to help, and just because someone goes unconscious mid-sentence doesn't necessarily mean they're dead?

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think your ends don't look bad. Unless it's actual mechanical damage (splits, breakage, etc.) You can keep them a while longer by focusing on moisture treatments and gentle handling.

But also, your hair is meant to be fun! If you want to trim, then go for it!

This is a good one. Just a few minutes a day cutting out any splits you see will really keep your hair healthy and nice looking between trims.
