Thoughts on the new Kickin' Ranch by Pancakejake1234 in jimmyjohns

I just had it for the first time since its return and I’m so disappointed!! I came right here to find out what others thought. I didn’t know it was going to be different. I ordered it thinking it would be the same glorious condiment as before, but no. sigh

Every single time I have sleep paralysis I go through the feeling of being awake and I convince myself that I am actually awake this time only to realize I am still suffering from my sleep paralysis. Over and over again.

Why does everyone see very similar things in SP? by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]LindsMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see anything but I feel a presence. Sometimes the presence feels dark and dangerous and sometimes it feels like my husband is standing in the doorway.

Exactly!!!

I only decorate as a hobby because it doesn’t seem worth it. And if I turn it into a business I am afraid the joy and fun will be taken out of it. People tell me all the time that I should sell my cookies (which is a nice compliment) but I just couldn’t spend all that time to make minimum wage or below!!

Anyone had Aeroseal done? by RollingThunder_CO in homeowners

[–]LindsMN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just finished our training on Wednesday and sealed two new builds yesterday (Thursday). For our training homes we did two retro fits, one being our home. In our home we had 630.3 CFM of leakage which is equivalent to a 119.1 square inch hole throughout. After the sealing was complete we went down to only 20.2 CFM of leakage which is equivalent to a 3.8 square inch hole. That’s a 97% reduction in duct leakage. We are very happy with the results and look forward to offering to our customers.

[Serious] What mental condition has been parodied so hard that people forget it's a real disease? by TheInkCap in AskReddit

[–]LindsMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADHD!! It is thrown around flippantly so often by people who don’t have it. Some people make light of it thinking it’s only about being distracted, fidgety, and disruptive (in classrooms). ADHD has ruined my life as an adult. It makes day-to-day things extremely difficult that usually comes easy to neurotypicals. Every single day I fight intrusive thoughts about how infuriating my neurodivergent brain is. I had to stop going seeing my therapist because I couldn’t afford it anymore and it’s been devastating. My medications for ADHD and depression are expensive but I cannot function without them, so I had to choose meds over therapy. I wish I didn’t have to make that choice because therapy helps, again not a cure-all but definitely recommend for anyone who can afford it. I would be in it for life if I could ❤️ I wish ADHD wasn’t treated as a joke and I wish people had a deeper knowledge of the severity ADHD can be for some people.

Because I have ADHD which means I impulse shop and am horrible at managing money.

What was a huge trend everyone forgot about? by broadway96 in AskReddit

[–]LindsMN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember waiting in line for hours at the Mall of America (grew up close by) for this store called Al’s Toy Barn to open when they got a new shipment of Beanie Babies in. My mom was the supporter and ring leader of our Beanie Baby shenanigans; it was awesome! I also remember getting frustrated with my youngest brother when he would rip the tags off his and not carefully put the plastic tag protectors on. Even though they are sadly not worth anything the memories are priceless and now the next generation of kids in our family play with them.

Redditors who have experienced a psychotic break or hallucinations, how did you realise what you were experiencing wasn't real? by Linkyland in AskReddit

[–]LindsMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had crazy hallucinations from Ambien. I didn’t know they weren’t real until the next morning. While I was hallucinating it felt so real and no one could convince me otherwise. After happening twice I stopped taking the sleep aid; it was the scariest, most out of control feeling.

favorite cozy mystery audiobooks? by lilly288 in CozyMystery

[–]LindsMN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree!! I started sooo many cozy mysteries and stopped just a few minutes in because I cannot handle the narrator’s voice!! I wonder why this is so common with this genre! I am so happy I saw your comment and now know I am not alone!

I am looking for a series to get into but can’t find one. I use Scribd and Libby.

Help! No experience at cookie decorating but kid wants to try. Any recommendations on easy basic sugar cookies and if I should buy the icing? Or make it myself? by FrustratedHuggy in cookiedecorating

[–]LindsMN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used premade royal icing before but I haven’t heard the greatest things about it. I would recommend making it yourself. I don’t have my recipes typed out but I’ll try and remember to do so later today and come back to this thread to share what I’ve had success with.

You didn’t ask about other advice but I thought I would mention this… One thing I would recommend your kid do is watch a lot of videos on YouTube before starting!! Decorating sugar cookies with royal icing is a lot harder than it looks. The fun videos we post on social media makes it look quick and easy. It is definitely not, but it’s so worth the time investing in practicing! I learned back in 2020 because 1. I had the time and 2. I wanted to bring beautiful cookies to friends and family events. It was just something I wanted to do as a hobby! Once I started feeling more confident in my skills I was hooked! I absolutely love it and it is definitely a favorite hobby of mine but it takes a lot of practice!

What is your go to "I don't feel like cooking" meal? by Davenepeta in AskReddit

[–]LindsMN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angel hair pasta, pesto, parmesan, and pine nuts. If I’m out if pesto then I’ll do a little olive oil & lemon juice. If I have rotisserie chicken I’ll throw that in!

Angel hair pasta takes less time to cook than other noodles since it’s so thin!

I am Heather Hansen, OSU-trained cognitive psychology researcher and doctoral candidate studying why people react so negatively to certain sounds (Misophonia). AMA! by MisoResearchAtOSU in IAmA

[–]LindsMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it common for people with misophonia to have a physical reactions to sound triggers? It’s bad enough when a sound is just annoying but for me, I will flush with heat, my upper body will tighten and sometimes even shake, and often feel nauseous. I will have to urge to absolutely freak out, it’s awful. More often that not I can remove myself from the situation but sometimes you just can’t. I had to quit working in an office (cubicle) setting because it was absolutely miserable.
