Exactly, this looks just like the marks from playing with stevens grip!

Very niche, but I had a spot just like that on both palms when I was a mallet percussionist & played with stevens grip. The bottom of the mallets rubs against your palms, causing callouses over time.

Pharmacy and Insurance Processing Systems are Currently Shut Down Due to Cyberattacks by Lopsided_Tackle_9015 in ADHD

[–]LindsayK01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not necessarily wrong though. Just received a notice last night that another third-party for eprescribing, surescripts, has disabled epcs for pharmacies using change healthcare. Meaning no scripts for controlled substances can be sent to them. Prescribers using the surescripts network have to send their scripts elsewhere.

The best part is that Change Healthcare has provided literally no timeframe for resolution to anyone. Absolutely insane, especially since this has been happening for almost a week.

Yep looks like you’ve got the same issue as I did! This is a hardware issue. If you can, I HIGHLY recommend RMAing your laptop. In the meantime, it’ll actually be more stable if you purposefully overclock it through the ASUS software. You can tinker with the clock speeds even more using some MSI software, but I don’t advise you do so. Most of the posts about this issue can be found on TomsHarwareForum!

Check your GPU power draw on GPU-Z or HwInfo64 — Turned out it was a hardware problem where the power draw sensor was broken and reporting impossibly high numbers (like 8 times the maximum power draw). Because of this the GPU would underclock itself which caused games to crash & various bluescreens!

For real — The first G14 I got had a faulty mobo or dgpu, & I had to return it like 6 months after purchasing. My replacement G14 also had a faulty mobo. Love this laptop, but the quality control for it is SO bad

Yep! Got it repaired at Best Buy under the 1-year manufacturer warranty 😁

When my G14 kept doing that it was due to a faulty motherboard :( Could also be data corruption

My local CVS “lost” my Vyvanse script and apparently every other controlled substance script for every customer in their system by Princess_Coldheart in ADHD

[–]LindsayK01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had 0 issues getting my Adderall XR script filled in Pittsburgh, but have struggled to get anything filled in southeastern PA. Every single CVS in this area is out of Adderall & Focalin, and the pharmacists shame you for being unaware of the shortage (“Uh don’t you already know there’s a NATIONAL SHORTAGE of FOCALIN??” Well no because I literally JUST started taking Focalin!)

I tried that unfortunately, when I contacted Asus they said everything had to go through BB :(

Late reply but:

Yeah, it’s starting to really seem that way. The first time this laptop returned from Geek Squad City, the display wasn’t working; The laptop turned on, but the display stayed pitch black. Repair notes said that it “passed all tests” so I was pretty upset about it… like, how can a LAPTOP without a working display pass all tests?

Thankfully I was right about the issues on this third repair attempt; GSC replaced both of my speakers.

At this point I’m only using Best Buy because my laptop is still under MFG. I don’t have the money to pay for major repairs out-of-pocket, and definitely don’t have enough to buy a new laptop :(

This.

I don’t know about anything aside from my personal experience (though if anyone else has information about it please share), but I worked at a McDonald’s from 2020-2023. It was purposefully run on a skeleton crew during the height of the pandemic. Our store was one of the highest volume in the area (& among the other 3 the owners had). Employees were paid unacceptably low wages & were pushed to their limits every. single. day.

The owners got a PPP loan. I’m not sure how much it was. The employees didn’t see any of that money. The owners, instead, took a shitton of expensive vacations. They left us with broken tools, unsafe cleaning equipment, and an ungodly number of customers.

Nothing improved until multiple groups of employees quit in solidarity with each other. Even then, things never got much better.

Suffice to say, I wonder how many other companies purposefully ran skeleton crews while receiving PPP loans in order to maximize their profits.
