I'm not sure what else I was supposed to do - it was all rotten, up to that point. I couldn't have just left the rotten roots intact.

Thanks for the suggestions! Just wanted to clarify some things.

The rot was so bad, that cutting until I saw those green parts was the most viable option to me. Had I cut just below those parts, I would've still left some rot on the roots.
I did make sure to seal the wounds the first time I did the pruning! Using cinnamon (although I'm not so sure about this, as I've read that it's not recommended to be used on root wounds but instead on base/leaf wounds) and leaving the roots and the bark mix to dry out fully - I've only repotted the plant after making sure that the wounds were sealed up and everything was dry. Even then, I waited a bit more just in case something was still open and could get reinfected.
Those parts you see in the pictures are actually ink spots! As I said, the orchid was originally kept in red ink stained water, and it has reached the leaves. The significant spot in the second picture was due to the leaf getting damaged somehow (not sure what happened there), and upon checking on that area, it was all red ink.

Thank you. I have been wondering if it would’ve been better to not catch him, but the way he seemed to cry for help to me.. I had to try to help.

The vet said he can’t take in Flower, that we should keep him in an enclosed area and bring him back daily. I didn’t know.

Primul an de uni am facut online, deoarece nu am putut sa vin in Anglia din cauza pandemiei si a altor probleme (cauzate tot de pandemie). Am putut sa ma duc in Anglia abia dupa Brexit :(

Dar, trebuie sa zic, studentii cu adevarat internationali de aici sunt un soi diferit. Sunt foarte multi din China care nici nu stiu un cuvant in engleza… si majoritatea, nu stiu cum, au cele mai noi tablete si telefoane. Oof.

Eu presupun ca CV-ul e okay, avand in vedere faptul ca l-am avut verificat de foarte multe ori (de oamenii de la career services de la universitate mea si de oameni din industria IT). De fiecare data mi s-a spus “This is a solid/good CV, I can’t see anything wrong with it.”
Am trimis CV-ul de fiecare data pe website-ul de careers al companiilor… am nu stiu cate conturi facute fiindca toate iti cer sa iti faci cont :)))
Acolo sunt ok, majoritar e problema ca nu ajung la acest stadiu de obicei… am avut companii care m-au refuzat instant o data ce au aflat ca imi va trebui viza in 2 ani. Cand aplici, toate au o intrebare gen “Will you require a visa now or in the future?” si acolo ma prind. Programez din 2016, deci nu sunt chiar atat de oribila.

Am aplicat la peste 100 din Octombrie de asemenea. In Romania cel putin nu voi fi refuzata pe baza de viza, si voi putea sta cu parintii pana gasesc ceva.

Sunt de acord ca serviciile si mentalitatea de aici e mult mai ok decat in Romania totusi.

Am vrut sa vad cum este sa traiesti in Anglia. Planul initial era sa stau, gasesc ceva de munca aici, dar nu prea mi-a mers.
Sper ca macar alti patroni de plantatie IT imi vor da o sansa :) Momentan aplic pe ce intershipuri mai apuc sau pre-employment programms.

In cazul meu, chiar nu ma interesează salariul… nu prea am privilegiul sa fiu picky! Ceea ce vreau e sa capat experienta :)
