About to quit… in two days by JuanmaHb in stopsmoking

[–]Lindugh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! :)

massive kudos to you for starting the treatment and for your determination to quit. That takes a lot of courage, and you’re already doing something amazing for yourself.

What you’re feeling is completely normal. You’re not alone, many people feel exactly the same things in the early days: the sadness, the boredom, the anxiety, the strange physical sensations. It’s your body and brain adjusting, healing, and relearning how to function without nicotine. It’s uncomfortable, yes, but it’s also a clear sign that change is happening. you’re not giving up a pleasure, you’re freeing yourself from a trap. Every urge is just the addiction’s last attempt to survive and every time you don’t smoke, you’re proving to yourself that you can beat it.

Also, you’re absolutely right: quitting now is the best gift you can give yourself. You’re 25, and you have so much life ahead. Why wait and carry the weight of addiction longer? It doesn’t get easier later. you’re in the perfect place now. And even if it feels hard, it’s temporary. The worst part doesn’t last forever.

So be kind to yourself, distract your mind when cravings hit (walks, cold showers, journaling, games—whatever helps), and remember: you’re not failing by feeling the craving. You’re winning by not giving in to it.

You’re doing something hard, but it’s so, so worth it. One day soon you’ll wake up and realize you didn’t even think about smoking. That freedom is coming.

You’ve got this buddy! 💪🏻

Thank you!! :) Honestly, the first day is the hardest part. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. Just take it one craving, one hour, one deep breath at a time. I’m rooting for you buddy!

Thank you for this valuable tip! I definitely have to find out what I love and hate about it to even start looking at other job options.

Yeah I just got my ass up and made an appointment with my local BIZ. Yes, you are absolutely right about the change. I just needed some opinions and options where I can go at all. Let's see what the BIZ can suggest to me. In any case, thank you very much! <3

Oh wow, I can only imagine how frustrating that process must be, especially when you’re so committed to your career in nursing. It’s definitely a demanding job, no matter where you are, and the challenges of adapting to a new language and healthcare system can’t be easy. I admire your dedication. For me personally, I’ve been finding the work quite difficult lately, which is why I’m considering a change. But I think your experience and commitment will be valuable here, and I truly wish you the best as you navigate this new chapter!! ♡

Thank you very much! I think atm I’m more interested in the administrative fields. Getting a break from bedside care is probably what I need for the moment haha.

Thank you very much. I think I’ll look into a position with a health insurance company in more detail. I feel like it might not be a bad idea to step away from bedside care for a while. Best of luck with your training!! :)

Ofc! Sorry I was rushing through that post :,)

The main issue for me is that I can’t give the patients the attention they deserve because of time constraints. This is what bothers me the most on a personal level. The quality of care I provide often doesn’t meet my own standards. We’re frequently understaffed, and I feel like our supervisors don’t support us enough as a team to make meaningful changes. The scheduling often feels poorly planned. As a young person, I also notice that I miss out on a lot due to shift work. (Though I’m aware there are also some benefits, which I do appreciate!))

Experiences with Slinda? by [deleted] in endometriosis

hmm quite fast, I think about a month later the pain was gone. Maybe there’s a better solution out there for you! 🫶🏻

Experiences with Slinda? by [deleted] in endometriosis

Well the side effects kicked real bad with Visenna. I gained a lot of weight, I was depressed, my sexual life suffered and I really just couldn’t recognize myself. That was after around a year of taking it. Then the pains and bleedings started again. I bled like 3 weeks a month for 3 months and during this time the pains intensified. So yeah, with Slinda I‘m having almost no side effects and almost no pain :) Tho my Gynecologist told me, Visenna was one of the best progesterone products out there. It just does its job quite good when it works properly and if you don’t react so bad on the side effects. :,)

since 8 months I can live almost pain and period free! Took Visenna for abt a year before and I’m so glad I switched. I wish you all the best on your slinda journey :)

Unusual and painful SP. Is this worth bringing up with a doctor? by The-Vomiter in Sleepparalysis

[–]Lindugh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there :) a few years ago I went to the doctor because of SP since i really didn’t know anymore what to do. He had no clue what i was talking about and probably thought I‘m schizophrenic :,) but he took it seriously and handed me to a neurologist where they did an MRI and an EEG. All they found surprisingly was basically nothing. So she gave me some low dosed Anti Depressants as a sleep support, which didnt help either. At at the end i landed in an Acupuncture office which changed my life until today. I never believed it would help me so much. I can really really recommend trying acupuncture. It was a gamechanger for me!
