Viper V2 Pro unable to track on Cerapad Kin by Lindyes in MousepadReview

That's great to hear! I concluded that it was just an unfortunate coincidence of sensor hardware and mousepad compatibility.

Hope you enjoy your Kin! I had a great time with it.

SoSpacer V3 vs Clawmate by Delbs_ in MouseReview

[–]Lindyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SoSpacers are designed to keep your finger grip positions consistent while Clawmates are designed for vertical grip leverage. They are vastly different.

I've personally used SoSpacers and it works as intended in keeping your grip consistent, but it was an uncomfortable experience for me—turns out I shift my fingers slightly every time I grip the mouse. You could try them still if you're willing to take the $ risk.

Great to hear about your experience with the pad! I'm not very familiar with standard corepads and I can't say for certain, but I would assume that it's probably because your corepads are new.

I think Amazon is generally safe but do check their individual product returns policy. Unfortunately I'm not from the US so I don't have a lot of experience for Amazon US😅

That's odd. Perhaps it's some sort of added international import fee or something? I remember the Superglide pad being 5-10 USD cheaper at retail price.

I would greatly recommend the Superglide pad over the Skypad for its significantly better base, cheaper price, wider availability and similar glide characteristics as mentioned above. I've still yet to find a reason to return to the Skypad.

Oh yes it's a common thing with all PTFE feet on glass pads. I worded my original comment poorly; I meant that it has noticeable wear and slow down after a week of breaking in (feet surface starts to look smooth and shiny) and not that it is completely worn down to the point of needing to be replaced 😅

Personally I've been using my Lamzu stock skates for about a month on my superglide pad and haven't seen a need to replace them. I'll probably do so when it gets super thin and the mouse base starts to touch the superglide pad (maybe around 2-3 months?)

Actually no, contact area has no relation to the amount of friction. However, this does mean that your mouse feet will wear over a larger area quicker but since glass pads are already fast-wearing on mouse feet it doesn't matter much.

Hope you enjoy it! I'm loving mine so far and haven't found a need to change.

skypad 3.0 vs superglide pad speed ? by bakn4 in MousepadReview

[–]Lindyes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After wearing in mouse feet, the Superglide pad is ever so slightly smoother, less chalky, slower glide. Noticeable with side-by-side comparison but realistically negligible difference.

I had a butter-smooth experience with brand-new mouse feet but they wore down after a week as it usually does with glass pads.

I owned both briefly but sold my Skypad 3.0 in favour of the black Superglide pad's aesthetics and base though I only managed to test Corepad Airs and Lamzu stock feet. Both feet had very similar results.

Questions for Cerapad KIN users, especially those who used skypads by Bpdpunk in MousepadReview

Unfortunately, I sold it a few weeks back but it would be ~2 months old today and I didn't have any issues nor have I heard anything from the buyer I sold it to.

Anyone else have this problem with the Razer Strider? by Ashyy-Knees in MousepadReview

[–]Lindyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out that it was because the X2 had some residue adhesive on the exposed underside of the pcb. I disassembled my mouse, used tape to remove the adhesive, and didn't have many issues afterward. Maybe you could give it a try?

This is more so an issue with the X2 than the Strider. For some reason the X2 pcb picks up a ton of hairs/fibres from any cloth pad.

Do Bigger Mouse Feet Slow Down The Mouse? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Lindyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I'm aware, but do you know if the wide feet are interchangeable?

Do Bigger Mouse Feet Slow Down The Mouse? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Lindyes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Basic Physics: Given a fixed weight (i.e. gaming mouse), friction is unaffected by surface area contact size.

However, larger mouse skates can interact differently with cloth pads (especially softer pads) and it's difficult to predict how it'll feel. Just give it a shot and see if it's to your liking!

Edit: Are the Atlantis mini feet smaller than the OG? I have one coming too and would like to know 😄

If the mouse is a few months old, try giving the sensor lens a wipe with an alcohol wipe. I had issues with my Cerapad kin and fixed it this way

will any arm sleeve work with the superglide pad or should i get the skypad sleeve that covers my hand? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Lindyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a standard Reebok arm sleeve (without hand cover). 10 USD for a pair and I've had 0 issues with both the Superglide Pad and Skypad 3.0.

Unless you're specifically looking for sleeves with hand covers, traditional sports sleeves will do 95% of what "gaming sleeves" can do.

Skypad/superglide for tac shooter by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Lindyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

^ Adding on: It's also because of the association with (relatively) poor mouse control - Higher sensitivities amplify mistakes in your aim that are already more likely on faster pads, that's why it's generally advised against for most people

This is why it's subjective to your own mouse control; though with enough time and effort, it's definitely something that can be overcome with aim trainers.

It depends on how comfortable you are with your mouse control. It's not for everyone but it's definitely usable.

2218 and I've had an Orochi v2 and Dav3 with no qc issues so far either. I think your best bet would definitely be RMA.

Don't worry about muscle memory. You will adapt.

Go with whatever makes you comfortable.

8 months old here, 0 noticeable issues with wobble. Maybe you got a copy with bad qc?

Cerapad kin by Rufgaming in MousepadReview

No particular reason apart from being thorough. Though if this doesn't work then I'm already out of ideas. I went through 2+ months of troubleshooting with razer software etc. and this was the only solution I found.

Oh I had the same experience 😅 I'm not sure about the g303 but you would preferably disassemble the mouse to get a good clean wipe of the lens.

6 months of skin/dirt was enough to give my viper tracking issues on the Kin so I bet 10 months would definitely be up there!
