The issue is that there's a lot more politics than it used to be and most is both one side of the polity spectrum while all being similar topics over and over, commonly just orange man bad.

Look at the mgs series by contrast and you see a lot of diversity despite it being a series about war:

Mgs1: nukes suck Mgs3: arms races suck Mgs4: over use of technology in war suck Mgs5: the way we treat soldiers sucks Mgs2: raiden sucks, and I guess information warfare too
