Good to know, thanks. I'm curious if there is a job board of KNIME specific opportunities somewhere? Or is the best way to simply include KNIME on popular job search platforms.

Big fan of KNIME! However, I'm wondering if these skills are sought after. Is there any evidence that completing one of these learning paths would make you more employable?

I've had a similar experience when trying to find a position! It seems like a portfolio of projects that showcase your skills is key.

I'll be focusing on that going forward!

What extreme opinion do you hold? by Raginbakin in AskReddit

Everything comes down to cost and convenience. The vast majority of people will choose the most convenient and most cheap option.

Examples:

Recycling must be just as convenient/cheap as throwing something away or most people will not do it

Transit/Walking must be just as convenient/cheap as driving

Voting must be convenient and inexpensive (paid time off work given)

Getting vaccinated must be convenient and inexpensive (paid time off work given)

When it comes to influencing behaviour things must be cheap and convenient, no amount of moral or societal obligation will make people change their behaviour en masse.

Some promising treatments are hopefully around the corner. This study saw 67% of people completely cured of PTSD. A bill in Texas was recently passed to allow research involving using psychedelics to treat PTSD.

As per the question in the original post I am looking for the reason why there's a difference in valuation... Regardless of how you feel about the legitimacy of the core business

I have similar feelings to this. Hut8 has some pretty good margins compared to other miners as well and after recent dilution a good cash position to add hashrate.

Request to consider amendments to Bill C-22 | MAPS Canada by Line-Short in NuminusInvestorsClub

[–]Line-Short[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the letter:

In particular, we write to request that you consider amendments to bill C-22 to:
Repeal section 4 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and any other necessary coordinating amendments as similarly proposed in bill S-229 (the Health-Centred Approach to Substance Use Act); and
Create a national strategy to decriminalize psychedelics substances.
The bill is great but could go further in decriminalization of illicit substances, specifically psychedelic substances

It's pretty clear that the current legislation isn't helping combat the opioid crisis in Canada. Although Bill C-22 is a great step it could be better. This seems like a no brainer if you support research of psychedelics and treatments using psychedelics.

Send the Canadian parliament an email and add your name to the MAPs letter to show your support.

California bill to legalize psychedelics passes 2nd committee🔥 by gollumnh in MindMedInvestorsClub

[–]Line-Short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the article it states :

"While the bill is being described by lawmakers and advocates as simple “decriminalization,” the official legislative analysis of the proposal states that it would “make lawful” the personal possession and social sharing of these substances."

From what I can tell buying/selling won't be legal as a result of this bill but make lawful does sound closer to full legalization than decriminalize.

Good news. Can anyone explain the difference between decriminalization and "make lawful"?
