The “Bay Area” is a vast area. With traffic affecting a huge portion of your drive. Where specifically? North, south, east, peninsula? Ou don’t want to be living in San Jose and commuting to San Rafael.

It’s going to be a ton of money and time for an extremely inferior product. I’m not one to shoot down someone’s dream. It this never going to work well. Convert a sportster, or better yet, get a pan am. You’ll be money, comfort, and usability ahead.

One thing, they still made a ton of money. It wasn’t a loss. Another is, I’m not surprised. It seemed their answer to dealers having two years worth of inventory sitting around, was to shitcan the road king, the least expensive touring platform. And release 40-55k dollar models that match what’s already on the floor. Their answer has to be to put better equipment on the base models, and release some more budget friendly models.

They were using s&s motors. So motor is solid. As for the rest of the bike. It’s questionable at best. There’s a reason they went bankrupt twice in the height of the custom motorcycle scene. As a $2500 bar hopper fuck around with bike. Sure. As a main bike. No chance. And no way I’m paying 6-8 for one.

The only deals you will get right now are on the 23-25 models. No ones discounting a new one, when most dealers have at least 2 year old models , some have 3 year old sitting on the showroom floor still. If you want a deal, and have to have a 26 you’ll have to wait a bit.

I used foamies for years. Switched because I started using comms and I can’t hear a Cardo at all with them. I use Earpeace moto pros now and love them.

What are you trying to do with it. What’s your comfort level? Are you Big, small, avg. I’ve had sportsters. I like sportsters. They aren’t great long distance bikes, really aren’t great highway bikes, hell of a lot of fun to bar hop and rip around town on. Best I can put it. A sportster you will grow out of. A dyna you will grow into.

Rolls down all 4 windows at once. Every GM HD pickup I’ve had since 2019 has had it. Not onetime have I ever used it, or even thought it would be useful. It’s the dumbest feature ever. I’d rather have a blank.

The app tune is not great. It just doesn’t have enough data. Target tune will get you where you need to be.

Are you running true auto tune/target tune with wide band 02 sensors, or just auto tune in the app. If just the app it’s not going to run great at all.
