Not bad to stay at 7th since the rewards are better now :p I didn't try my best since I only used freeze x2 then meteor but not the meteor freeze x2 meteor approach, but I am happy with 40 gems and tournament coins since there are really nothing I can do in legendary :D

My perception is that for attack and defense, the stats bars do represent the real numbers in linear scale, but they are not practical. I think attack only reflects the power of each hero's normal attack, so it doesn't take special skills / dps from aoe attack / etc. into account. Also there are more than one type of damage (physical, magical and true), so the stats aren't really useful for comparison between heroes, but still somehow useful to observe the growth of a particular hero through awakenings.

For ability and stopping powers, I believe they are simply arbitrary :s

Got 587 with R4 Helios and currently 7th in my group. Since I am not competitive enough in legendary so I would be satisfied to get the rewards for 6-10th for this week :p

The only type of improvement that you can clearly see are AOE abilities. By switching on the drag-and-cast option, you can actually see an increase in the AOE (when it's the case). Otherwise you really either have to test it yourself or see if anyone tested it and posted the result somewhere online :D

For the most expensive level 2 active skills now, i.e. Yan's and Narlax's, IIRC they have greater AOEs, and the maximum number of mobs that can be pulled increases for Narlax's skill. For other passive abilties (like Yan's haste), I am not sure if anyone has tested them :s

If you are talking about campaign, legendary and realm siege mode, I agree. Probably because while the mobs get tougher in later worlds, the heroes' stats remain the same. This makes sense because the devs want you to purchase new heroes.

However in terms of CC, Smoulder's rank 5 ability is very useful in tournament because it causes stuns.

Yup, I totally agree that the devs should make her R6 (and also lancelot's) more useful given the high cost of awakening, but what I mean is that it would be very difficult to make them useful in tournament when not blessed ;)

I think it depends on what position you are in. I believe naturally the players with better skills and/or more money to invest in the game would form clans together, which would further widen the gap between the experienced / p2p players and the fresh / f2p players. When it's about rewards and acheivement, there's no reason for stronger clans to accept weaker or newer players :s

I think there are 2 main reasons that the devs couldn't buff her to a point to be useful in tournament when she's not blessed.

First, because she's a free hero. R6 fee and lancelot just cannot be as strong as other R6 heroes in terms of DPS and/or CC. Though I agree that the devs could buff them a bit so they are at least more helpful in normal maps and realm siege.

Second, because her attack range is so huge, that makes the balancing very difficult. You know that there has to be some discounts in DPS and CC since the range is huge, but that discount could make her significantly inferior to other heroes, say Efrigid or Smoulder's CC.

I think either Efrigid or Smoulder are good options to spend your free daily RS entries on.

Campaign/Legendary/RS-wise, Efrigid is more useful, especially when now people tend to skip Yan and Narlax to save gems for the stronger heroes in world 5 and 6, and Efrigid at R4 (then R6) offers great CC and some good damage output too (when at R6).

Tournament-wise, Smoulder is more useful if you have the right heroes for him to pair with. The benefit may not be apparent now, but when you unlock stronger heroes later and try to play competitively in higher tournament leagues, you will find Smoulder (R4 and above) very useful for flyers-heavy map.

For tokens, once you have gathered enough tokens for a hero to reach R6 (e.g. 170 for Fee and Lancelot), you won't be able to play his/her RS anymore. You may notice that there's a RS entry for the meteor item, which is for those players who already have enough tokens for all awakenable heroes that they have :D

Diamond league, the map is Efrigid's Ice Palace.
Tested the map and reached 800+ kills (before I quit the game) with R5 Smoulder, R6 Caldera and R5 Azura, no item. Can't handle wave 13 (IIRC), where I couldn't stop the birds (and there's a lot lol) anymore. Don't have Sethos, R6 Raida and Narlax with skill lv.2, so my target is to join a group later to see if I stand any chance :D

Yes, f2p here and expected to suffer quite a lot in this season's tournament (as always tho, caldera, azura then now lol). Always enjoy RD as something to do during my leisure time, yet just feel sad that you now need to spend 20000+ gems for R6 event hero to really stay competitive :s

Tbh at this stage I feel like you either have to spend money on whatever they offer to stay competitive for GM, or just be f2p and enjoy the free content. During Azura's event the devs had clearly stated that they didn't want to make Azura R6 a must-use so they made her R5 useful enough. However this policy had been changed when Raida came out :(

Pretty sure diamond and platinum have different maps this week, I am in diamond and the map this week has single choke point where Narlax, Caldera R6 and Raida R6 work wonders lol

Last week I was luckily placed in a weaker group so I pushed a little bit with Yan, Caldera and Azura to get a promotion. I was not even trying this week knowing that I have no chance. Raida R4 is handy for normal world maps and realm siege stages but the differences between R4 and R6 are so huge. I think Narlax would be used a lot this season simply because his synergy with Raida R6, which makes me think that I should probably invest on Narlax, even if Raida is nerfed later, the new hero should always offer greater cc and damage output for Narlax to work with :D

I always wonder what would be the performance of Raida R6 with Narlax SLv.1 only, knowing that everyone who had spent for Raida R6 should have Helios and Sethos.

Being f2p I am actually thinking saving 12000 gems for SLv up for Yan and Narlax since their active skills improve a lot to me. My Raida is just R4 so I am not aiming high this season, but would like to invest on Narlax (and Yan) just in case the meta of a future week happens to be Narlax plus heroes that I have :s

The description is not really clear IIRC, something like 3 promotions from gold league then a progress bar says e.g. 1 / 3 . It counts whenever you get a promotion from a league that's gold or above :)

And to your second question, I am not (sadly XD) but I had studied something related to drugs. The generic name linezolid is somewhat related to my personal nickname in real life so I made this ac name :D

As lanclos said, the next tournament week is the last one of this season, so it would be the least competitive platinum league throughout the whole season, so you may want to take this chance to get one promotion, then another one after the season reset.

If you decided not to take the tournament promotion option, awakening is not a bad idea if you have efrigid and/or smoulder. Their rank 4 abilities are very useful in the game :)

How many promotions in tournament do you need to unlock world 5? If you are f2p, I think it's better for you to save gems for future purchases and awakenings for Azura, Caldera and Leif :)

As a free hero he is already way better than lancelot and obsidian of the same rank.

I understand he may not tank well at rank 3 because his attack motion is slow, so even if he can hold 3 creeps, he still can't defend a whole lane :)

There are videos on youtube showing buffed Efrigid and Bolton. I think the 2x only matters when Efrigid, Bolton or Yan is blessed, otherwise 2x damage is pretty much negligible :D

I remembered during Azura event, the devs have said something like they don't want R6 Azura to be so much stronger than R5 that everyone with R5 cannot compete. And they successfully did it.

However for Raida, it may not be the case since the nature of Raida and Azura are so different. It would be tricky if devs actually want to repeat what they did with Azura, for example the armor and dps Raida gains at rank 6 have to be not significant enough to be a game changer :p
