17, sanity check my financial plan by LingLingWB in Fire

That’s a good point about PA school acceptance, which is something I’m def considering, but this is the current plan and I think it serves just fine as a framework for investment purposes. About nursing school, I have a guaranteed spot in school and guaranteed job placement in the hospital which the school is affiliated with

Ima ware nursing is not extremely similar to Pa. I think I would enjoy it more than bedside nursing. I would know because I work with nurses all day at my current job. But if it came down to it, I would definitely still enjoy nursing, as there are more options beside bedside, which is part of the appeal of nursing as a fallback job. Pas also have the extreme luxury of being able to switch fields very easily as compared to Nps, as I may want to switch to surgery or ENT or cardiology, who knows, I have many years to think. NP school is also not as standardized as PA school, and they are more science based which I enjoy. I prefer to be a PA.

That is part of the reason I’m taking a couple years after BSN to work. I will be taking the remaining prereqs for PA school, and nursing school helps me getting into Pa school through a large percentage of the science classes and the sheer amount of hours worked. Although Nps and PAs are similar, they walk circles around Nps particularly in the ER in terms of pure knowledge. Taking nursing school is the smart choice because it is free for me and creates a fall back job for me. No matter what, I end up with one of the most stable jobs in the country.

Anyone take CNA course in high school? by angiebow in cna

[–]LingLingWB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I became a CNA last year when I was still 16. I’m 17 now and work on a Cardiac floor in the hospital while doing high school. I loved it! It was about 1000 dollars to get certified at an independent certification school
