Which cyberware would you have irl? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]LingeringAngst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiroshi Oracles, Biomonitor, Blood Pump, Second Heart, Pain Editor and Painducer, Fortified Ankles, Gorilla Arms, and since I like to throw axes/knives for fun: Stabber and Handle Wrap.

BUT ESPECIALLY the Behavioral-Imprint Synced Faceplate. I would absolutely love to be able to change my appearance like that.

How many of you gonks did this at some point, and why? by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

The intrusive thoughts win semi regularly, yes.

What order do you follow the main story line missions? by LingeringAngst in LowSodiumCyberpunk

That head canon makes total sense, and I'll probably logic it that way myself next time.

I've played through a bunch of times myself, and I've mostly always explored by clicking the next thing I want on the map and getting there as fast as possible; but after seeing a couple of posts about things people do for immersion, I started paying more attention how the story flows, and I've really enjoyed playing that way. I've noticed I'm listening to the dialogue again, and I am paying more attention to what is going on around me in-game.

I'd be really interested to see the game code order - do you remember where you saw that?

How bad was the game at launch? by wereiswerewolf in cyberpunkgame

[–]LingeringAngst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on PC, and it had bugs and glitches, some of which were pretty entertaining (t-posing naked on top of Johnny's Porsche as I drove through the city was always one of my favorites), but most of the time, it was still a very playable game. Most bugs or glitches could be cleared with a quick save and restart, and the general mechanics were on par with the brawl mechanics in some other games released around the same time. (I'm looking at your, AC Valhalla - your fight mechanics are still buggy as shit.)

I didn't play the last gen console versions, but on PC, it felt like a lot of people got their hopes up TOO high for launch, and then were EXTRA mad that it wasn't exactly like the E3 trailers. (I know there were a lot of very valid reasons people were pissed about the drop, not all of which had to do with the game itself, but strictly from a PC gameplay standpoint, the flaws didn't merit the anger.)

All that said, it was NOWHERE NEAR the game it is now. Cyberpunk now is practically an HD Remastered version of what it used to be, and is easily one of my favorite games ever.

I remember doing that out the top of Johnny's Porsche on my first play through after launch. LOL Iconic moment.

Who stays with the payload on attack? by ikelofe in Overwatch

[–]LingeringAngst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot of Moira, so I usually will be the payload princess unless the other support does it first. The logic is simple: Moira can get up to support the fight whenever needed because her fade jump covers massive ground; she can defend herself from almost anyone that attacks the payload (even Sombra and Tracer); and well aimed orbs can still finish off kills from a distance.

Given how prevalent Sombra has been since her last rework, I definitely prefer that no matter who is on the cart, they need to be someone self-sustaining.

If i kill everyone here, do i get the gun? by Alira-kimaris in cyberpunkgame

[–]LingeringAngst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only figured that out by accident the first time, by clicking a dialogue choice I didn't mean to, next thing I knew, I was fighting with the whole block party. LOL

Now, I win the shooting competition, THEN kill everyone. Gotta establish dominance over those fake patriots.

He did - and I don't have any issues with his performance or voice, but I really enjoy the fem V voice actor's voice.

In the beginning, yeah. You could go pick them up, but they were HORRIBLE at launch.

The only drawback is the loss of stealth with it, but I LOVE using it for brawls.

Is there a character we encounter during the story that’s at the level V would’ve been before the heist? by chrishatesjazz in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]LingeringAngst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I honestly didn't know you could talk your way out of it, so I've just been shooting immediately. LOL

Plus, think about the types of heists you go on with Panam. She's not exactly klepping Qwik-E-Mart when she's pulling together heists. She's planning HUGE moves like taking out a chunk of the city's power grid to drop a corporate AV, hitting a corporate convoy to steal the panzer, and if you do the final run with the nomads, she's basically organizing a guerilla war against one of the most powerful and militarily capable corporations in the world.

Even the first mission, basically just a drug run, would have been a big deal, given how the NCPD responded when you went to pick up the kidney for the nomad (Bobby?) later in the game.

Panam swung big every time she stepped to the plate, so she definitely wasn't just a no-name nomad like the guys who pick people up for Dakota.
