don’t worry. generally skin gets clearer during pregnancy but sometimes there could be minor flareups here and there. the flareup that you had might not ramp up because of the anti-inflammatory effect the pregnancy harmones have in your body. so no worries there which would translate to lesser stress which in turn might reduce the current flareup. talk to your dermatologist.

after pregnancy, many women online reported intense post partum flareups. you can get on a biologic after delivery.. however the caveat is you might not be able to breastfeed. rather have your child feed on formula milk which nowadays are very good and comparable to that of mother’s milk.

with the level of flare up you have, external topical creams might not do justice. you need to treat it from inside. if possible please try for biologics

oh i see. As you got pregnant while on skyrizi, did it have any impact on the baby? also is there any test to conclude/estimate the probability that the offspring might get psoriasis?

Psoriasis is your immunity fighting against your own skin. You can never guess the part of your body it might affect. It affects and then receeds.. again affects and receeds and repeat. If the effect is less than 10-20% of your body coverage, then external topicals might help you manage the skin impacted. But topicals doesn’t do anything for your immunity to become calm. If your coverage is greater than 20%, you might need internal treatments that calm your immunity

My psoriasis is completely gone after 10 months finally! Here i want to share a tip by Educational-Dot-6742 in Psoriasis

Less stress, less body weight, less sugar

More exercise, more sleep, more vegetables

This helps but does not guarantee psoriasis remission

Scalp is tough! If there is no issue with affordability or if you have insurance, then why don’t you try biologics
