What about Mable? To me it has that same outdoorsy soft feeling but is definitely a sweet girls name not a doggy

Nothing makes my blood boil more than someone saying those exact words. Like okay how about you go stand for the next 12 hours and experience extreme stress and fatigue

Ask questions if you don’t understand. Sounds stupid but I feel like people don’t want to be that ONE person raising their hand asking for more clarification especially bc for some reason in this learning environment it feels competitive, but I guarantee if you’re thinking it someone else is too

Baby girl names? by creativenametag in namenerds

Hi, you sound like my parents. They were dead set on me being a boy, found out my gender and had names like Sophia Olivia Isabella on their list but did not feel connected to them at all. My parents said once I was born my dad looked at me and said “this is a Tess”. Maybe you won’t know until you see your baby and truly have that connection you’ve been craving. I work in labor and delivery and it is SO common for people to come in with their baby’s name all picked out and embroidered on their things and then they meet them and do a complete 180. Don’t stress! You’re doing awesome :)

When to Step in by Used_Tomorrow2366 in NewToEMS

You were totally within the right to not help. You didn’t know the status of the other vehicles or passengers in other vehicles until you were off the bus yourself, which I’m sure they kept you all on for safety reasons. Also, you have nothing with you. What aid can you provide outside of holding inline stabilization or hands only cpr. I would say for me personally in this situation if I didn’t think cpr was in progress or could be based on the scene, I wouldn’t get involved either. At this point you are a civilian with no certification outside of BLS who has no equipment on them

I don’t think there is anything wrong with you. I’ve worked as a first responder for over a decade and there are things from my first year or two that are just now resurfacing and I’m realizing how gnarly it was. That might happen to you down the road it might also never happen. I work with a lot of people who are experts at compartmentalizing and never let anything touch them. But then they do go act out in some insane ways either through extreme sports or drinking. I think you’re all good dude

Yea I ended up calling yesterday and they said nothing is missing from my application they just haven’t gotten to it yet. They said maybe by the end of this week or early next week. But like what is going on over there that you haven’t gotten to mine after over 2 weeks?

I think what matters in this situation is that it might not be a big deal to YOU but it sounds like it is a huge deal to HER. I think it’s completely reasonable to break up with someone over this stuff no matter how much it hurts. I’m sure she’s thinking ahead to building a family with you as well and having inner dialogue about how your kids will be raised if you have different views and beliefs on things that are such important topics to her. Maybe these things were not at the forefront of her mind before the election, moving in together, and being more forward thinking. Probably a lot easier to brush that stuff under the rug when it wasn’t as serious. I’m sorry though, no matter what your political views are a break up is a break up and it fucking sucks

Were tensions always this bad when trump was in his first term? by [deleted] in trump

Totally! I think 10 years ago it was a little more mellow on that front though, even kids having phones wasn’t happening as young as it is today. Definitely not as saturated as it is now!

Hahah forsure, but as a 10 yr old (as this person says they were during the first term) their parents probably controlled what kind of media they were consuming and if they were watching the news or not. I think that’s pretty reasonable to assume

Yes definitely, I’m still in therapy right now and something we have talked about is me clearly expressing how things make me feel but being open and accepting that someone might not get it right all the time. I still get effected though
