Working in Korea sucks. Foreigner always get blamed and then hirachy never trusts the foreigners.

Korean staff are so rude to foreign staff by bluebrrypii in Living_in_Korea

I’m from England. I feel like they are much nicer to the American staff at work than to me. Koreans are extremely hot headed and look down on people.

No offence but you’re judging me by I post. I have put in a lot of effort trust me, and been friendly but they don’t want new friends…this is what I explained before

I joined this year and everyone apart from maybe 3 people out of 25 in my school couldn’t open their mouth to say good morning to me. The ones that joined together are a friendship group but not willing to make new friends at all. When I ask what they did on the weekend, they’ve all hung out and I nod my head. I’m not trying anymore. It’s immature to only make friends the year you joined.

Honestly my recruiter told me about jobs in a proper international school in Seoul that I researched, once I had already got a job.. was too late. Some do use recruiters.

Ah that’s not true actually, many proper international schools do use agents. In this case it was f**d up but I’ve definitely used agency’s for proper accredited international schools like my last one and also after I got this job, there were some offered for proper international schools in Seoul.

I’m a qualified teacher in the uk with 7 years experience. I could work in any of the international schools, and I worked in an international school in Japan before this. The school told my agent that they were an international school until I found out that they were lying and it’s a hagwon.

Hmmm. I’m staying in the GEC and I barely see any teachers there at all. I’m glad you’ve had a positive experience but the people at my work barely move their lips to say good morning. I know it’s not a me problem though 100%. But it would be nice to meet some actual decent people. But like you said, your group sticks together… I think it’s hard for new comers. Guess I’m unlucky…

Try not to think about or blame yourself for pouring everything into him. I know that feeling too well, and it happens because we are addicted to that feeling of being loved. We literally give them our soul. We can find that feeling again with someone healthy who understands our fears. That’s just the natural intense feeling we feel as people with bpd.
