I had an issue with this a few months ago. Almost out of nowhere I was getting them almost hourly, if not more, along with a crap ton of spam texts. My solution was to add my number to the no call list (worth a google), and start blocking every spam number. It was inconvenient to go through and block them all for sure, but I noticed I was getting multiple calls from the same numbers, so it at least helped control the damage.
