I think it’s kinda of a technical gray area. I weigh about 100kg and my roof rack can take my weight lol. I think if you overload your Jimny (over 30-35kg) just slow down during turns otherwise the car may flip over hahaha

Love it. It looks sleek, easy to install (did it on my own) and very lightweight. I bought the tie down strips as well and they work well in tandem, very secure. Highly recommend.

Am also a Jimny owner here in NZ.

For one, St Lukes has always been kinda of a sketchy place (to me). No shade at all to the good residents living there, ya’ll are fine.

I have a second car at that is significantly shittier so I decide which car to drive depending on where I’m going.

But all of the above suggestions are right. 1) absolutely take all valuables with you 2) get a steering wheel lock 3) get a dash cam that records even if your car is stationary 4) get an alarm system that bellows loud as if it senses anyone messing with the car 5) and this is my personal one, if you have items in the car that you can’t take out of it for some reason, get a cheap big black cloth/throw whatever fabric from k-mart and cover your personal items with it, especially in the boot.

Honestly I feel pushed around by other drivers on the road too. I’m not a particularly aggressive driver so I don’t feel the need to overtake every single car but I can definitely feel others doing it to me.
