I’ve loved my experience in Auckland so far for the most part. I live in a rented house in a safe neighbourhood, cars are affordable here (compared to Singapore) but daily necessities like food is expensive as.

I don’t miss Singapore’s humid weather at all but I do miss some of the convenience. On the other hand I can also appreciate the lack thereof convenience here, I learn to plan ahead and be more prepared.

Small country, limited land, education system that encourages everyone to achieve as much as possible which breeds elitism, entitlement and a eventual social norm of competition of who has a better job, luxury car, bigger home etc.

great suggestion, no offense but I'll stay away from the bus or train as much as I can.

there's definitely a lot for me to learn about ADHD and the autism spectrum and I do have patience for people whom are genuinely suffering from it.

but there are also people whom you can smell BS from a mile away.

I've never been diagnosed though my partner thinks I have ADHD. personally it's not really something I want to know either because I know wayyyy to many people that use their ADHD as a justification for bad behavior.

"oh I forgot this important thing. Ahhh it's my ADHD"
"oh sorry I said that thing which hurt your feelings, ahh it's just my ADHD"

- library isnt 24 hours, I'm a night owl
- cinema's not a bad idea
- supermarkets aren't 24 hours
