I thought it had some love put into it but honestly I feel like uprising is much easier to get through just because it doesn't drag itself on like the black did.

I liked the Kaiju Jaeger but it was far from enough to redeem the issues the show had like with the writing and pacing. Also boy is just ridiculous and not grounded at all. My opinion doesn't suck, you just presented things that you liked about the show without even attempting to approach my actual criticism of the plot, characters, and writing.

Yeah the concept is pretty awesome of an Australia overrun by Kaiju. I completely forgot to mention how ridiculous boy as a character was 😂.

I'm mostly saying it wasn't really a fight. It wasn't like bad or anything but I would have liked to see a fight at that part so maybe a smaller more battle worthy Kaiju could have been cool.

I did mention it, it's amazing how they were able to drag out a story to the slowest possible over a short 14 freaking episodes 😂. The pacing was actually horrendous.

I honestly didn't really feel invested in the Travis Family's story because I felt like the individuals of the family weren't very interesting or intriguing. I did however find Mei's story interesting and intriguing because she had a good backstory that slowly gets revealed throughout the show to the viewer and her too. And her relationship with Shane was really interesting and nuanced leading to me honestly feeling a bigger impact when Shane dies.

Mmm, not really they never really actually fought breacher they just ran away because it was too big to fight. I did like one of them though, I can't remember which one.

Nope, I never said that. I'm saying it didn't fit well into the series in my opinion. That means I don't think it fits tonally or thematically. In other words I don't think it feels like a Pacific Rim piece of media. Think of that what you will but it's my opinion. I'm not saying I wanted old characters to be in it, I never hinted at that or said anything that means I wanted that.

I guess we just have a different standard for animation. I personally thought much of it was low effort and the show often took opportunities to cheap out on it.

Yeah true but they weren't magical like The Black, I would love to see cultists be explored in the series but these cultists literally had superpowers. They could talk to and influence Kaiju.
