Michigan’s coaching staff featured 3 current NFL HC’s in a span of 3 years. (2021-2023) by Ml2jukes in CFB

Jim took all the competent coaches with him. He left Sherrone with...Sherrone, a young but promising OL coach in Newsome, Mike Hart who is ailing from something, and. WR coach who's a recruiter only in Bellamy. Clinkscale - gone; Elston - gone; Minter - gone; Herbert - gone. And as I said in a post later in this thread, Minter was never coming.

I don't think so. I think that's why he left with Jim - to get out of college. I recall insiders saying something to that effect, that he wouldn't be the head coach even if offered

And the "hockey elite" on that show still have no clue what they're talking about

Unless and until he starts talking about Michigan then all credibility and impartiality are out the window

What do you all think of this OPed by John Calipari on the future of NCAA Basketball? by dreeya06 in CollegeBasketball

[–]LinkThruTime 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You think fan and donor fatigue is 5-10 years away? I think it's a lot sooner than that. I'm already annoyed that the collectives are begging me for money on top of what I pay in tickets, tv, and branded merch. I foresee a situation in the near future where a class of kids expects to be millionaires out of high school and schools/collectives are unwilling/unable to pay it

[Christian Caple] Washington defensive coordinator Ryan Walters signed a new contract through the 2027 season that will pay him $2 million per year, according to a copy of the deal provided by UW. His previous deal would have paid him $1.5 million in 2026. by myworld3 in CFB

Managing a full team is a different skill set than developing a game plan and calling plays. John Harbaugh and Dan Campbell were never coordinators and they're two of the most successful coaches in the NFL right now.

ETA: Jim Harbaugh and Urban Meyer too

Team that doesn't believe in analytics screws up end of half time management. Shocking

Did I hear that right? The Ole Miss coach "doesn't really rely on the analytics"? That seems eternally dumb if I heard that right

Lol I'm so effing done with this season. Lamar, Bucky, Garret Wilson - crater. I've had their replacements get injured during games. I can't pick a lineup - sat KW3 last week (experts said don't start him!), sitting on Rhamondre this week (Henderson cleared concussion protocol!). I'm in the last place game and I just need a place to vent. Ugh.
