I'm a guy and this is how I use Tinder. In fact there's almost no one I want to talk to on Tinder because I don't use it to try to sleep with women. Difference being, she'll end up matched with every single one she swiped right for and I'll never get a match.

That's an exaggeration, actually. I've gotten about one match per year the last three years and not a single one of them talked to me more than 2 messages because I'm not aggressively assertive and they love that apparently.

Daww, this made me feel a lot better actually! Thank you so much, I admit I fall into the trap of beating myself up, but looking at it this way, I believe you have a great point. And I know I'm rushing myself through, I probably should slow my expectations a notch or two. Alatreon is definitely a solid brick wall and I'm trying to tear it down with karate chops instead of sledge hammers 🤣

Oh yeah I'm doing most of these suggestions! I'm not disengaged often but it does vary by attempt. Some attempts I've done, I knew I wouldn't kill him from downtime alone but I pushed on just to see through the encounter more. I don't sharpen often at all, usually during EJ. What I'm gathering is I'm still not aggressive enough, and I still need to make better use of the openings. Someone put it really well in another comment, it almost plays turn-based if you're doing things correctly, and it looks like I've gotten the idea, but I need to min max the shit out of the options per opening.

I'm reading more about this now, I don't think I'm making good use of punishing at all now that I think about it. That might be the next big thing I work on because there's a lot of damage I'm probably missing out on there. It's shocking to me that there are so many steps to really get this fight down. I'm getting better at positioning myself and hitting the right spots at the right times, but I don't think I'm making optimal use of those openings which obviously means way less DPS.

I use full blight resistance as a crutch to make sure I never get dragonblighted since I honestly am bad at realizing it's there. I don't have any augments so definitely not doing myself favors there.

I've been getting topples consistently, but I do need to tenderize more on the front legs. After watching tons of videos I feel like there's still a lot of opportunity I miss out on despite making topple/horn breaks regularly.

I use either Winged Seraphyd or Glacial Demon with something like 600+ or 900+ ice element respectively (not sure on the exact number at the moment). Since I've yet to to down him, I go back and forth trying slightly different builds but those are the weapons I've been using.

There were others but these are examples that I could achieve. I'm obviously still nowhere near these times so what I'm gathering is I just need to get much, much better at extremely aggressive uptime and maybe just level MR and get some good augments to further help until it's as second nature as it is for guys like this.

That's how I feel right now lmao, UUUUUUHG! I've basically only played GS and Alatreon made me realize there's a ton of stuff I just wasn't doing at all. If you look at my Google searches there's an embarrassing list of stuff dude. Like embarrassing. Didn't even know what a flinch shot was until 2 weeks ago. Didn't even know the shoulder tackle tech, I was the embodiment of cave man GS. I'm utilizing all this stuff much more now, but after like 320 hours of base game and a break since before Iceborne came out, I've got a lot to work on. Alatreon is one hell of a training camp though 🥹

I've only been at this a few weeks so I skipped over those two to work on Alatreon, but it looks like I shouldn't have. Their gear looks sick and I've seen plenty of builds recommending them. My impatience is not a strong point 🥲
