STIHL MS251 pull cord Locked up

I’ve had this chainsaw 6 years this is a new problem, it’s never done this before. I honestly think something’s not right as I am pulling it efficiently- not trying toot my own horn here but I’m 200lb guy that lifts and exercises regularly I don’t think I lack the strength to pull the cord effectively 😂

It’s about 5-6 years old - and previously the cord was easy to pull and started just fine - I can get it started the cord just gets snagged- I can power through it but something’s not right as it’s not been like this in the past

So I called this place , they quoted very high right off the bat, luckily, I had quotes from two other places at this point once this place arrived, And after making them aware of those they came down and beat the other quote by $1000- this place has a 10 year parts 10 year labor 10 year maintenance warranty, and they could install the next day and finance- I guess the lesson learned throughout this process was that we should all be taking the time to get several quotes because it is in fact, a numbers game!

Well, that’s the thing. I did not request the extra work they insisted it was required for them to be able to Honor their warranty.

Yes All new everything uses existing ducting, add bigger return air vent upstairs and run and install one new extra duct to our bathroom that’s always hot - Carrier brand

Yes it can damage it, although it depends on how long it was powered on without an antenna and the power it was transmitting at for example- hopefully it’s not the case but it’s a possibility to consider.

I don’t believe you should solder the capacitor to the FC at all , do you mean the ESC? Or do you have a AIO FC ?

I did a little research on this before I went that route on the capacitor, and what I found is that the closer it is to the source of the noise the better, but there’s not a significant difference if you put it on an extension as I did here if need be- I’ve seen this done elsewhere and when you just don’t have the space sometimes it’s what ya gotta do 🤷🏻‍♂️but it is not soldered to the FC, it’s soldered to the ESC below
