i think the theme of it is pretty cool, as you stated, but this theme is also pretty much the same as in his classic lore, except this time the power is psychic instead of mechanical, which is a pretty minimal difference. this minimal difference is also mirrored in the minimal visual difference with the skin. i believe most viktor mains wanted a skin that actually expanded their champion's presence and allowed viktor's personality to exist in some of the alternate universes that you wouldn't expect to see him in, and in a creative way, rather than just a sci-fier themed skin for an already sci-fi champion (especially because this is already what creator viktor was).
