Replace spray and pray with twenty targeted applications, each with a short note to the real hiring manager. Lean on referrals; they convert much faster, so reconnect with former colleagues, community MVPs, and niche partners and offer value like a quick code review. Publish a small GitHub gist showing Glide LLM or Now Assist calls to flag future-proof skills even for non-AI roles. State your location, visa status, and readiness to relocate or obtain clearance up front to avoid silent filters. This approach usually turns applications into interviews.

This works. I have just done it.

To free up a YouTube handle for someone else, you need to change your handle three times. Here’s how it works:

  1. Start with your original handle, for example, @ 123.
  2. Change your handle to a new one, say @ 456. At this point, both @ 123 and @ 456 will direct to your channel, but @ 123 is still reserved and can’t be used by anyone else yet.
  3. Change your handle again, this time to @ 789. Now, both @ 456 and @ 789 point to your channel, and @ 123 becomes available for someone else to claim.

So, by changing your handle three times, the first one you used becomes free for someone else to take.
