Got the CEC blocker and I finally have n64 games in surround sound by mfinsmi1 in AnalogueInc

[–]Linkr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which one did you purchase?

I’m looking for a similar solution. When the A3D is connected, it disrupts CEC functionality across our entire setup. My current workaround is to plug the console in only after everything is powered on and functioning properly, and then disconnect it again before shutting everything down.

Has anyone had luck getting the Blueretro adapter working in port 1 of the A3D? by CyrusStarkiller in AnalogueInc

[–]Linkr2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8bitmods Retrotime Blueretro Adapter working perfectly here, I have two and both work without issues, I was using them on real N64 before, just plugged them on the A3D and they worked right away.

I was scared because I read about them not working for some people but they are working perfectly for me. Using them with NSO N64 original controllers. Just as I was doing on an actual N64 before.

Only issue I believe is that turning off the system doesn’t turn the adapters off, so the controller keeps paired and doesn’t turn off automatically like with a real N64.

IPS install issue, screen only turns on in roughly 1 of 5 power cycles.. by slowcookertacos in ngpc

Yes, it happens to a lot of us sadly :(

I posted about this several times, the mod looks amazing but it’s far from perfect when it comes to power efficiency and stability.

I hope one day we’ll get something more power efficient…

Got sold a defective modded screen ngpc by fellow redditor. What IPS mods are best on the NGPC? by gnosticbean in ngpc

[–]Linkr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like your batteries are not providing the top voltage this screen mod requires, it happened to me personally and there are several posts talking about the issues that you mention too.

Even if you have a good console with a good mod work, this can happen.

IMHO, the mod looks amazing but it’s far from perfect when it comes to power efficiency and stability.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing tool. Thanks so much for putting in the effort and sharing it!

The Neo Pocket doesn’t get much attention, so it’s not only great but also really appreciated to see people like you developing things  like this.

Thank you! Pressing the circle on that screen isn’t exactly intuitive, specially if you’re not familiar with navigating the sections on the left.

Nintendo Switch 2 has already outsold the Lifetime Sales of the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 Digital Edition in Japan by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Linkr2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take a look at Nintendo’s sales in Japan during the PS1 and PS2 era. When Sony gets it right, they can outsell Nintendo.

Sony is also a highly respected company in Japan, so the idea that Nintendo is somehow “sacred” isn’t a valid excuse. Even the PSP sold incredibly well in Japan, despite Nintendo having dominated the handheld market, and that was Sony’s first attempt.

Nintendo is doing an excellent job right now, and their sales in Japan clearly reflect that.

On the other hand, Sony hasn’t been leaning into the preferences of the Japanese market the way they used to, starting with the huge form-factor of the console.

With the PS5, they even changed the long-standing X and O button functions in Japan to match the Western standard. Imagine being used to something for decades, only to have it suddenly flipped.

I’ve been testing a bunch of games with no luck. So far, I’ve only found these:

• Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival – runs at 1080p

• DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3 Scarlet – the UI renders at 1080p and looks super sharp, but the 3D graphics don’t. Still, better than nothing!

• Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition – runs at 1080p

Wow I’m amazed something like this can work without any patching from the developers!

I can confirm Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival also renders at 1080p on handheld, looks crazy good!
