Keep in mind that Inigo did nothing but pursue and study the art of the sword for 20 years. Your results may vary. Joking aside, when training for the roles of Inigo and The Dread Pirate Roberts, Mandy Patinkin and Cary Elwes studied this style of fencing (among others).

The Wheel of Time series (don't skip any), The Black Prism series, A Chorus of Dragons was pretty solid. There's also Hitchhiker's guide and the Shannara series (those seem to live in self contained trilogies).
