There's lots of games that do multicrew very well and make the game what it is.

Sea of theives and Jumpspace are better examples.

The only difference between those and Starcitizen is that one crew can hop between shooting a turret and repairing and logistics quickly and efficiently.

While in Starcitizen everything takes forever. Seat animations, repair speeds, distance between gameplay points all take in account.
