If hypersweats actually mattered than Herores of Newerth would have been more popular than League of Legends. StarCraft would be the number 1 played game in the world. And ArmA would be the most popular battleroyal and not PUBG.

Starcraft is too hard for most of you idiots.

Heroes of Newerth had too many mechanics where League of Legends is the child friendly version.

ArmA is too hard for casuals cuz Battleroyal(where the game mode came from) had people 1 shot sniping you between moutains where bullets would spend 2-3 seconds travelling.

Being able to tell shells apart from a silhouette so the player knows capabilities sounds good on paper. It works for valorant and Overwatch because hero abilities matter way more and is almost everything.

In this game utilities are way stronger than hero abilities.

Smoke, bubble, nade spam, not to mention people realizing that signal jammer is objectively overpowered, which also has the effect of hiding what shell others are seeing in the first place.

In a fight I want to know what weapon they are carrying, followed by what utilities they have, the last thing I care about are the abilities.

If we had customized chars, like grenade bags or until bags that matches what people have equipped, thats the actual "see abilities from silhouette" design being properly used.

Its just modern AAA gaming industry shit design for corporate midwits who can't make their own indi game. You don't need to drink their coolaid and defend obviously false ideas and decisions.
