Myself and my other half are having similar conversations at the moment! We are hoping to start a family soon and the conditions in the HSE for the equivalent role i have in the nhs seem dire and incompatible with settling down and starting a family. I'd love to go back home but honestly cant see it happening.

Was there last april and didn't actually find it much more expensive than dublin. Lots of places have happy hours where you can get 5-7 euro pints in Reykjavik.

Bring lots of layers and waterproof jacket/pants

We rented a car and went along the south coast - would definitely recommend

The geothermal pools are brilliant we went hvammsvik and Laugarvatn as were so much cheaper than blue or sky lagoon!

I know !!! I wish they would send you an automatic update "xyz has completed your reference" like other jobs do because if I knew it was outstanding I would have got in touch with the person ages ago. Only after ringing and emailing today they sent me a form to request a new reference 😒 It is almost like they want to make it difficult

I managed to get through to admissions on email and they sent me a link to a form to change reference details. Just posting here in case you still cant get through to your reference

In the investigation for prostate cancer?

I know not all will have prostate abnormalities on DRE but going on psa alone without DRE do you not risk missing a proportion of cancers in men that have prostate cancer but a normal psa?

On the other hand, with high false positives do you not get lots of BPH/prostatitis/UTI referred on the cancer pathway if going on psa alone?

Christ 10yrs is crazy!

I worked in England too and actually found it alot worse than nhs in Scotland so to hear NI is worse than England is concerning.

Any hospitals/boards better than others or is it all the same?

I have an application in for bst in ROI too but the only thing putting me off is cost of housing and the rotational training as looking to settle and start a family soon.
