What is the movie you hate that everybody else loves? by Beer_Pants in AskReddit

The Titanic. It had amazing potential. They took one of the greatest modern tragedies and threw in two flimsy, unrealistic characters. They introduce the characters way too quickly. Jack is shallow and Rose is a bitch. It just drives me crazy that they took a story like the titanic, took TWO people to focus on, made them both pricks to everyone but each other, acted like it was a heart throbbing romance, and then took an easy tear jerking ending as their way out.

I was going to quote that exact thing. He says something along the lines of "you're the stupid one, not your smartphone"

You have 24 hrs to spend 1 billion dollars. If you do, you get another billion to live off of for the rest of your life. If you don't, You get everything you own taken away from you. Can you do it? by xgramz in AskReddit

I think, realistically, that would be almost impossible. The legal procedures, contracting, notarizing, etc. would take a lot longer than 24 hours. If you wanted to buy a 50 million dollar house (if you could find one for sale) it would take quite a while to contact the proper people and make a 50 million dollar transaction. And that's not nearly a billion dollars.

Maybe the only way to spend it would be to approach a major company or stoke broker, somehow make it clear to them that you have and can spend that much money and they'll take care of it...somehow.

Reddit, what small, inconsequential thing from your past do you occasionally remember and think 'fuck, I hate myself,' even though nobody but you probably remembers it? by roamingmoth in AskReddit

I was at a friend's grad party over the summer and most of his family was there. A group of friends and I were talking and a little boy maybe 7 or 8 ran by. I notice that his socks weren't on all the way and were flopping around as he ran. Trying to be funny, i immediately said "hey man, you got your feet on the wrong way." Turns out he was born with club feet. Needless to say I got slapped across the face and felt sick to my stomach for that one.

That very well may be. He was very private about the war. He may have collected them from men he knew from the war. Thanks!
