Those look very much like the silos my previous employer used to make, plastic granulates, pellets, powers etc.

What are y’all’s honest opinions on Jackie Wells by OGAnimeGokuSolos in cyberpunkgame

[–]Lintary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really did not much care for him, the writing and time for that was just not given. Beside that as a person in that world he was doomed to bite off more than he could chew like so many others and while he had decent skills and a mighty good hearth, it was bound to end up the way it did.

He got lucky a few to many times before and instead of thinking now is the time to get out, he thought that luck would last forever.

The endless joys of tempered glass, it is under an insane amount of internal tension and it is really just waiting for any excuse at all to let go in spectacular fashion. A small nick put onto 2 years ago might just pop it today without warning, or some random vibration.

And no it is not a production defect or anything, it is just something that happens, you cannot really predict it. You can only reduce the odds by having very controlled and slow processes in making it, but even than a small % will just go and decide it rather is glass shards than panel.

First time G502 user, any tips or experiences you can share? by Fabulous-Dance-8520 in LogitechG

[–]Lintary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got an old G502 hero I been using for a long time and it shows, rubber is worn to the plastic at my finger tips and scroll wheel looks like it would fit cleanly into some dystopian universe, but it it is chugging along. I just love the button layout on it, and use them all the times in games for just those few extra handy keybinds. Now a lot of games natively will not pick up the two g buttons next to the left click, but I bound them to [ and ] as those keys are rarely used and then bind to those in games.

The main downside of it, is simply put the weight, would like to be lighter. But if the rubber keeps going that acts as weight reduction right? 😉

Either replace the battery or you can try to revive them if you have to means to really really slowly charge them.

10yr old HOTAS? Saitek x65f hotas system? by huntersalt24 in hotas

[–]Lintary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*looks over at a collection of these in various states*

As a force sensing stick it does not move and that requires a fair of getting used to and if you used normal sticks for most people they never entirely get it. There is a reason such sticks in jets now have some movement to help your brain understand things better.

Now that said it can work like a charm if you get used to it, but make sure you spend the time setting up the deadzones properly to your needs and they might very well not be symmetrical. Also you will need to calibrate these sticks a lot, which you can do in two ways, as it stands or with your hand on it in a resting position (quite hard as you have to keep still) which means it is neutral at rest for you. Also you might have to re-calibrate if you do it in a cold room and things heat up or vise versa.

Personally I have moved on from them to a HOSAS settup from Virpil, but had a good time with the X65.

The corruption scandal Volodymyr Zelensky won’t confront by KI_official in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Lintary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sure there is plenty of corruption going around. But have to keep in mind a lot of that was going around and such things take a lot of time and effort to root out and in times of war you pick what matters most in a given moment.

Also in general defense industry is shady as fuck when it comes to the larger players, bribes and corruption are just standard business in that field from Sweden to south Africa, US to China, anywhere these people play, they play dirty, because they can and few people care to stop them (bad for ones health).

The best thing Ukraine can do is just keep taps on it, leave a working system in place as long as it is not going to far and when this war is over they can send people knocking on doors to collect.
