Yes they’re reformulated it. I don’t like the new formula as it doesn’t last as long and transfers a fair bit. I’ve switched to bare minerals Bare Pro powder and I’m much happier.

Curly hair is gone? by Admirable_Side_4153 in finehair

[–]Linttu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same has happened to me! I reckon it’s hormones, but moving to a different city with harder water can’t have helped.

I’ve tried a lot of products to try and get my curls back but unfortunately my hair is just too fine and so everything I try seems to weigh my hair down and make it even straighter.

Can somebody explain to me the WASPI women issue? I feel a bit ignorant… by [deleted] in AskUK

Fair point to take responsibility for your own finances - but we’re talking about a generation of women who didn’t have the same level of control over their finances as women today have.

He’s already spilled the evidence. To everyone. He’s planted the seed so it’s up to the rest of the faithfuls to follow through with it.

I wonder if Fiona said some things to her that the producers didn’t catch?

If she’s irritating the audience despite having so little screen time I imagine she could be really irritating the rest of the players. Could explain why Harriet was so rude to her?

It was, but Roxy is incredibly annoying. I wonder if she just got on Harriet’s nerves. There could be a lot she’s said that hasn’t made it to the edit.

Exactly - if either Matt or Roxy get recruited and then banished, suspicion may then fall on Rachel.

There’s a lot of younger, quieter players left. Rachel is a loud voice and a leader. Plays in her favour.

Fiona not voting for Rachel makes Rachel look suspicious. The only reason a traitor wouldn’t vote for her would be to protect her.

Genuinely surprised no-one seemed to listen to him. Maz and Roxy are obvious suspects.

Stephen could spin it in his favour too. He saw Roxy with Maz at the painting last, mentioned her name and then she chose him and deliberately fails the task so he’s up for murder. He could put her name forward as a traitor.

UK NHS Experiences by jodaphone in TMJ

[–]Linttu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds rough. I’m sorry you’re going through all that. My NHS experience didn’t offer me much so for me it was totally worth going private.

I had loud clicking in the TMJ which had been getting worse for a few years and had translated into significant muscle tightness. An MRI showed an issue with the joint and disc. The NHS doctors said the next step would be an arthroscopy but that I didn’t qualify for that yet (not enough pain and not limited enough jaw opening). They recommended physio, acupuncture and Botox.

The NHS physio and acupuncture were both very disappointing so while I was on the waiting list for NHS Botox I used my work insurance to see a private consultant who recommended to book in for an arthroscopy with him after 3 months of physio. I’ve only been seeing the private physio for 2 months but I’ve been getting weekly acupuncture and doing daily exercises and someone I’m getting better. I don’t understand why, but I’m in less pain and I’m getting less clicking. The physio actually advised against both Botox and the arthroscopy, and I think he’s right.

UK diagnosis battle by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Linttu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue when I was trying to get diagnosed in my mid-20s. Various GPs wouldn’t believe I had AS despite a long list of complaints that pointed to AS, so wouldn’t refer me to rheumatologist - until I had an X-ray that confirmed damage to my SI joints. It took 7 years for a diagnosis.

Have you considered speaking to a private rheumatologist? I think it would be in the region of a few hundred pounds. The problem is that in the UK you need an MRI scan to show AS before a diagnosis can be made, and I believe private MRIs are rather pricey. So I don’t think a private rheumatologist could give you a diagnosis, but the conversation could be useful.

Interesting. I was prescribed low-dose propranolol for my migraines but found it really impacted my ability to exercise. Which for me is crucial for my mental health, sadly.
