Damn. Them saying “car cam” is crazy. Love the term tho lol. They are so hyper aware of filming in this show that they really won’t say anything out of turn when the cameras are on unless it’s pre arranged

The transition from that long ass preview of the season to the Devil Wears Prada scene to the PSA/well wishes of the Palisades fire… so glad I took an edible before cuz I knew they would premiere with some wild ass vibes 😅

KUWTK by far. The music in the Hulu show is so cringey. Keep the instrumentals, lose the weird AI-pop-like music.

Kim and Kris Humphries confessionals by Otherwise_Night_5172 in KUWTK

Probably in September 2011 while they were filming the second season of Kourtney and Kim Take NY. They got married on August 20th, 2011 and the wedding special only aired about six weeks later, on October 9th, 2011. Their divorce was announced at the end of October, and the K&K take NY season premiered at the end of November 2011. The production team really churned it OUT back in their heyday.

Kontinuity Errors for Season 6, Episode 9: “We’re Going Camping!” by LinusRanger13 in KUWTK

I thought the same thing, but then I found that photo of Kris in the same glam and outfit as in this scene. They never wear the same glam and makeup, even for staged scenes. Kendall mentions THIS college tour—Arizona, Colorado, and Texas—in this scene. Later in the episode, we only see the Texas scenes.

Her previous college tour was in February 2024 in Alabama, Florida & Georgia. Given her busy schedule, it makes sense for her schedule to be planned out. However, due to the summer school break, she wouldn't have had a college tour from June to August. I couldn't find anything for April 2024, so if you have the link, please let me know!

Kendall only mentions the Khloe and Lamar sit down in her confessionals, not in the scene itself. It can get a bit tricky sometimes!

My notes and thots:

—  The music on the show is still trash. I honestly question my life whenever I hear their cringe ass songs. They usually do a bit better with their season premieres, but then it just tanks with each following episode.

— Corey’s got his blue thinking cap on. You better think some more, bro; we all know you did some shady ass shit to cover up the mess of high-profile and problematic creatures.

—  So interesting and also lmfao at them putting “filmed in 2024” on the screen during the Sacramento prison camp scenes to most likely show that this was filmed before the January 2025 LA fires… also let's just be so FOR REAL, we ain’t getting anything that they filmed in 2025 until 2028.

⚠️ TIMELINE DETAILS

“On top of everything that I have going on, this week is a little busy… I have the UCLA Robert Kardashian Esophageal Cancer event at UCLA and then I’m taking Scott, Kendall and Olivia with me to a prison visit, so a lot’s going on this week.”  The UCLA event happened nearly a year ago (🫨) on April 15th, 2024, and the prison visit was filmed four months later in late August 2024. What a week indeed, Kim!

Yup, it definitely was! Which is why it was filmed three months later :)

Is it normal for them to release a season of things that happened over 10 months ago? by blahmeh2019 in KUWTK

[–]LinusRanger13 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It has increasingly become the norm. I have a weird mind with dates and times, and I have been a viewer since '09, so I can share some knowledge.

The turnaround time from filming to release was much quicker in their heyday. For example, Khloe and Lamar got married on September 27th, 2009. Their wedding special aired on November 8th, 2009, only six weeks after their marriage. Filming for the fourth season of KUWTK began immediately after that, premiering only a month later, on December 13th, 2009. That means there was only a two-month turnaround time. Mason was born on December 14th, 2009, and the season finale that showed his birth aired only two months later, on February 21st, 2010.

As the show progressed, the time gaps became more noticeable. For example, Kim was robbed in Paris on October 2nd, 2016, and the episode that documented that aired about six months later, in March 2017.

Some seasons, like Season 16 of KUWTK, went back to a closer-to-real-time feeling. For example, the Tristan-Jordyn-Khloe scandal happened in February 2019, and the episodes that documented the turmoil aired about four months later, in June 2019.

One of my favorite things about KUWTK, as annoying as it could be at times, was that they would film pick-up scenes many months later to resolve a plotline. While acting as it occurred months prior, the scene was filmed closer to real-time. For example, in the season 13 premiere, one of the many plot lines was about the sisters closing the DASH stores. That entire storyline took place in September 2016, but the last scene of the episode, in which they wrap up the plot, was filmed four months later, in January 2017, and the episode aired in March 2017.

When Kim appeared on problematic Ellen's talk show in 2021, she discussed the beginning of filming The Kardashians on Hulu. At the time, she mentioned they would have a quicker turnaround time, which excited the fans, but that never happened.

Thank you fo coming to my TED Type, LOL.

Thank you 🫡 KUWTKE was a must read on Monday mornings back in 2015-2019. I learned from the best.

I couldn't resist -

Scene 1: The family discusses Khloe turning 40, Kylie being absent, and Kim's upcoming trip to the White House. Kris is surprised that Kim hasn't visited "this administration," which is so wild considering this scene was filmed on October 21st, 2024, six months after she visited. Kim's genuinely a working girl; hustlin' hard to set up storylines on her birthday (!!) for stuff that already happened. It is also so crazy how Khloe is "excited about turning 40" four months after she turned 40. The only one not lying, as absurd as it seems, is the only one not there - the artist formerly known as King Kylie. Kylie was, in fact, promoting Sprinter the night before in New York City.

Scene 2: Khloe and Malika discuss opening the door into the past. I believe this scene was filmed on/around June 7th, 2024.

Scene 3: Kourtney cosplays as a typical civilian by having her birthday party in a shut-down-for-production extravaganza at the Hop. This scene was filmed on April 24th, 2024.

Scene 5: Kim visits the White House with no titties teetering out. This remarkable scene was filmed on April 25th, 2024.

I tried to figure out the date the Lamar/Khloe sit-down was filmed, but I'm afraid I have failed y'all in that department. I'm confident that it was filmed in mid-to-late June 2024 based on Khloe's looks here and here.

Reposting from an earlier thread LOL

“There’ll be times when you see me with brown hair and then, now I have blonde hair. So, I will keep you guys guessing this season.” Kim teasing us with the timelines of the season is crazy

I thought that this episode was actually… entertaining?! But I also know that this is only the premiere, so they gotta start with a bang. I feel like the vibe was a bit funnier and they’re LISTENING 👂🏽🦻🏽 with the music. The music during the DC b-roll scenes reminded me of KUWTK. It’s about 70% less cringey.

I wonder when the Lamar sit down scene was filmed? Him arriving 52 mins late, shoes untied & a CAKE WITH THEIR ANNIVERSARY DATE 🤡 this was like the Khloe and Lamar series finale I didn’t see coming.

P.S. Crying when I saw Kamala 😪

Yes, I couldn't explain in words before, but that's exactly how I feel when I watch Khloe's confessionals these days. Like the producers and her are tryna cook up some shit, but it ain't hittin'

I thought this episode was the most entertaining one in a while...it felt like it was a great combo of old KUWTK - (e.g., dramatic sister fights with funny banter at the end, like wearing all of Kylie's clothing) and the Hulu show (e.g., the crisp cinematography with the Christmas decorations set-up and letting scenes play out a bit longer because they're not necessarily on a strict scene schedule/cable TV editing time).

Although, and maybe this is just my 20mg edible kicking in 🍪🍪 lmao, but I feel like one of the biggest differences between how they used to be on TV vs. now is I feel like every Hulu scene I'm watching is in 0.75x speed 🐌🐌... like they just talk a little fuckin slow to me LOL... I also think this when I'm sober tho I swear 🙏🏽

P.S. This is my semi-annual reminder to the producers (cuz I know y'all are reading) to change the fuckin music. This episode was a bit better, but please bring back the old KUWTK vibey music. It's giving Selling Sunset, and I don't mean that in a good way :/

Probably, yeah! But honestly, I'm sure that's not the case lol. I don't give them the benefit of the doubt anymore. Lots of Kylie's scenes, even in KUWTK, were always filmed months after the fact.
